  1. Well, the most I could get today after a few rounds was 170,000. This game makes my list of annoying games after dying instantly at the start of 3 levels. Otherwise I might have actually broken 200k that time. Jeff
  2. I haven't had much time to play this week but my high so far is 150,500. Jeff
  3. That fireball sure is a pain in the mario. My high so far is 124,700. Jeff
  4. I hope this isn't too late but I finally broke 1 minute. My new best 0:57.
  5. 1:06, doesn't look like I'll get any closer. Jeff
  6. Down to 1:08. I've been close to a great time twice, but kryptonite got me right near the end both times. Jeff
  7. Got it down to 1:11. Always takes too long to find that last crook. Jeff
  8. Sign me up. The 7800 has some of my favorite games. Jeff
  9. At least something that has more to do with skill than with luck anyway. Jeff
  10. Got it down to 1:13. Kinda annoying when the clock keeps running for 2 seconds after you get to the daily planet building. Jeff
  11. Well, I'm back from my vacation. Time to play some games again. Superman is an interesting choice. Even if you know where you're going it's basically a matter of luck finding all the crooks quickly. And the flickering is so bad on this game that it can drive you nuts. Still, it's a fun game for a little while. At least until the kryptonite is on top of a crook and following him around, or a crook is flipping back and forth on top of a subway door. My best time so far is 1:52. Edit: best now is 1:19. The crooks were a little closer for once. Jeff
  12. I probably won't be posting any new circus atari scores because I am leaving for my vacation trip tomorrow morning. Hopefully next week's game is an easy one, since I won't be able to start playing until Friday. Best of luck to everyone for week 2. Jeff
  13. Yars sounds pretty good. My suggestion would be Fuji's. Jeff
  14. Well, my score isn't quite as high as some others, but I'll blame my last death on the phone ringing over and over. Dammit Rick, not right now! Anyway, I did manage to get 15,526. Jeff
  15. I have a couple hints that I hope will help those players who are struggling to get a higher score. First, making contact is a lot more important than hitting the end of the seesaw. Second, if the clowns are bouncing straight up and down on the right side of the screen try flipping the seesaw each time the left clown is in the air. This will move you closer to the center and you won't have to worry about judging the angle of a bounce off the wall. Third, keep distractions to a minimum. Background noise is ok until something catches your ear and the clown goes splat. And last but not least, take a few seconds for a breather before you start another run on a new life. There's no rush, so take a drink, flex your fingers, scratch your ear, etc. And of course, have fun! Hope that helps. Jeff
  16. After playing for almost 2 hours tonight I was finally able to beat my previous high score and I rolled it over. My new high is 11,111. I guess it's time to find a blank tape and hook up the vcr. Jeff
  17. My new high score is 8638. I thought I might get to 10,000 and that's when I started messing up. Jeff
  18. Nothing like playing Circus Atari with a good paddle controller (jitter free that is.) My high score so far is 5721. That extra life for clearing the top row sure helps a lot! My helpful hints would be to stay calm, get in a groove, don't go for the high bounce every time and use the force! Jeff
  19. I just figured if I was going to dream I might as well go all out. Jeff
  20. Now if only there was a 4-player 7800 version of championship sprint that used the driving controllers. Jeff
  21. I was going to try and redo my picture with colored pencils to see how it would turn out but I just didn't have enough time. The version I entered in the contest didn't seem to turn out too bad though. Jeff
  22. I liked the Rogue titles on the N64 but thought the gamecube version was lame. It was like enhanced tv instead of hi-def tv. They just recycled too much from the old games. And compared to the starfighter games the controls suck, but that's just me. The best Star Wars game for me is still the original arcade game. After 20 years you would think there would be one just as much fun, but I haven't found one yet. Jeff
