  1. Hi all! :)

I haven't been reading the forums for quite a while and was wondering if there were any new developments/hope reguarding the release of Robinson's Requiem. My JagCD could always use a new game.

  2. Hello,

After numerous delays (including a broken hand) I have finally finished the last 5 of my rotary controllers for use with Tempest 2000. I just started a dutch auction for them on e-bay, so if you have any interest in getting one of them here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1393520454

Hopefully one day soon, someone with a jag development kit will program a couple pong type games that include rotary controller support. : )

  3. Congratulations on the purchase. You have just taken your first step

into a much larger world. Here's hoping you have the space : )

Like you said, price is relative. As long as you have fun that's all that

counts. Over the past 4 or 5 years prices for classic arcade games have really shot up. These days there are a lot more people that just want

that one arcade game they always loved. You just have to hope none of those people show up at an auction and want the same game as you.

    Cheers.

  4. Hello,

    Just a quick update.

First of all, I'm sorry for the delay.

I broke a bone in my right hand a week ago last Thursday and

haven't been able to use it since. I almost had the controllers

done, I just need to solder some wires and put everything in their

cases. I will get them done as soon as possible, it's just a little

difficult only using one hand. I'll let you know as soon as they are

    done.

Once again, I'm sorry for the delay.

  5. I think it's great your getting that much for it! I just remember years ago

when I was making the first 20 of mine, some people were going nuts

over the price. When I bought a batch of 25 of the optical encoders they

cost $22 each. The jag controllers were $10, the box 3.50, switch $3.30,

parts for the pcb that makes the optical rotary work with the jag $11.75,

I think the knobs were about $2, I can't remember how much the wire

was. Plus tax and shipping on all of the above of course.

Then it took a really long time to make all the boxes by hand.

I sold those at $75 each shipped. As far as I know, I'm still running a

deficit on this project until I sell at least 2 of the last 5.

Actually there's quite a lot of room inside the jag controllers. Most of it

is empty space. I opened up newer one and there's enough room to get

everything in there, even the switch.

Tempest in the arcade was right handed, so I made controllers that were

    right handed. That's all.

  6. Well, I got a lot more e-mails about these controllers than I thought

I would, and it's only been a day since the first post. I am thinking of

making a dutch auction for the 5 controllers. I realise this might make

some people angry but it will give everyone a chance to get one. I

should have them done by the end of next weekend (hopefully) and

    new pics soon thereafter.

    Any input would be apreciated.

    Thank you.

  8. I already posted this on JI and rec.games.video.atari last night. Decided to post here also to cover all the bases.

Nearly two years ago on the rgva newsgroup I said I had most of the

parts for 5 more Jaguar rotary controllers and that at some point in the

future I would assemble them. Well, I finally started working on them

this past weekend and should have them done in 1-2 weeks.

So, if anyone is interested in buying one please let me know by

    e-mail: jeff__t@juno.com (that's 2 _'s.)

The price will still be $75.00 which includes shipping and insurance

    in the US.

    Thanks.

  9. Hi guys,

I've been out of the loop for a while but I'm slowly getting back in. I will be making about a half dozen (or so) more rotary controllers this summer if you can wait that long. Right now I'm a little strapped for cash though. Know anybody that wants to buy battlesphere? I have one for sale.

I'll try to keep you guys updated on the progress of the new controllers.

    Jeff
