  1. Title says it all really, just got this and have no idea how to play, instructions on the back of the box are German. Any help much apperciated. Thanks ! Chris
  2. Thanks ROM, still trying to hunt up a scanner so I can do that supercharger for you as well, haven't forgotten I'm finding this all very fascinating, it's like archaology , brilliant stuff! Best regards, Chris
  3. Also seem to remember having a S.S cart that was a clone of Skin Diver(sorry can't remeber the title) gave it to a friend however as I had a original Sancho copy.
  4. Don't know if these might be any help from my collection, note the S.S. stamped on the back, Suntek Science right? Best regards, Chris
  5. Is it me or did he sound really disinterested with the whole thing?
  6. As the title really, only just getting into the world of homebrews, hacks and repro's (and the internet for that matter), and wondered if anyone had done this game, it's the right era, and was simple & fun! No idea if a playable version would even be possible on the 2600, bet the 7800 could do a cracking job however. What do you folks think? Best, Chris
  7. Well I am really going to go out on a limb and admit to liking Seamonster. Don't ask me why but I do. Shuffles quietly away.
  8. I like my 7800, not had it for long but here in the UK price is a big difference, 7800's are very, VERY cheap, £10 will get you a system from ebay with lots of games. A NES will cost you £40 with 1 game & it probably won't work too well(retched cart ports). Colecovisions will probably cost about £100.Games are also super cheap for the 7800 too, unlike the NES or Coleco. I love the built in Asteroids, Galaga and Centipede are also wonderful. I realise from a American standpoint all this pricing is different, but here the 7800 is fantastic value. We also got the really nice pads as standard. almost makes up for the fact that we never got the 5200 in PAL land at all. Thanks god for the XE GS, another very cheap system here. I also really like the style of the syetm physically, nice looking machine, aged very well in my opinion, unlike the NES. Just my tuppence worth. Best regards, Chris
  9. My other big hobby is classic British motorcycles, my main transport is a 1959 Velocette. She does maybe 55 mph, has mediocre (at best brakes) has to be kick started and reqiures regular maintainance . Not a sensible transport choice maybe in 2007, but if she breaks I can fix her, she is free to tax & insurance is minimal, also does nearly 100mpg. Now the 2600 is like this it's simple, trustworthy & makes me smile. Things in your life like that are rare.
  10. Burgertime could use a little help, it's playable enough, but the graphics sure could be better. this cart is apparently 16k with some RAM too. Also Centipede(don't get me wrong I love this game) could use some better visuals too as long as they don't sacrifice the fluidity and speed.
  11. Thanks folks, now I have sent the vampire packing!
  12. How about roadrunner, guys? Just played that and the roadside scenery seems to move at different speeds, fun game by the way:)
  13. Turbo Sub. Really fun 3D shoot'em up, excellent graphics, the effect when you dive under the surface and then come back out, with the windscreen wipers clearing the windscreen is wonderful. The enemy design is also really fun and varied, each level puts you in a different time of day and ocean, with different colours, cloud patterns & sea bed. also love the exit tunnel in the underwater mountain at the end of each level. you collect crystal gems throughout the level than you then may use to buy upgrades to your sub and also fuel and extra lives. All in all not one to be missed. Ishido. Wonderful puzzle game, hard to explain but very easy to pick up, probably closest game would be Shanghai on the old Mac. Very simple concept but can be incredibly challenging. A top notch game. Qix. Is it me or this game incredibly tough? Very simple graphics and easy to get game concept but unreasonably difficult.
  14. Think the last game is crossforce by spectravision.
  15. I just got this game last week and am having exactly the same trouble, await responses with baited breath
  16. The Gameboy set up is sold, still no interest in the 2600??
  17. That's great, now you just need to track down that ultra rare copy of combat
  18. Its still overpriced at £14.99. For sure, I got a bit corp 4 - 1 for £5 with bobby, snailvs squirrel, mr postman & open sesame & that's mint. Only got is as I have none of those games yet.
  19. Yep, I like it too, sure the graphics are awful (even worse for me as the colours are all scewed up using NTSC cart on PAL TV & 2600). But it plays well & the sound is strangely cool.
  20. He's closed the auction at 99p and relisted again at starting price of £14.99. He has at least made a list of the games on the cart after a fashion.
  21. Thanks, tried that too, think the ROM chip has failed, oh well.....
