Can someone please help me with my new Harmony Encore? I just bought this device and it came flashed with the NTSC 1.06 firmware, I am from the UK so I want to put the latest PAL 1.06 firmware on it the problem is it does not seem to exist and I don’t understand where to get it from, assuming it even exists. The addendum that comes with the Encore manual states… “Also, we don’t recommend using BIOS versions older than 1.06.” So what do I do? use 1.05? or wait till PAL 1.06 comes out? I have tried emailing Fred with this question but I am not getting any reply from him so any help this community may be able to offer will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Can I ask does this firmware also work for the Encore? or is there seperate firmware for that? Thaks.

I know there are hundreds of posts on this thread saying how awesome this screen is, but I just had to add one myself, the screen is just stunning, I think that the only way that this screen could look this good is with the help of the dark arts, witchcraft maybe? Fairy Dust? not sure. I got McWill to do the job for me, as I am a clumsy great galoot and would probably have damaged it had I carried out the work myself, I have never seen such professionalism for a home MOD. He even did a check list that he sent back stating the quality of the condition, sound etc. I have just sent my Game Gear to McWill so really looking forward to getting that back. Just one quick question re the Game Gear, does anyone know if the TV tuner will work with this new screen? Obviously the TV will not work I know that but I was hoping to use the AV input to plug in other devices and use the GG as a kind of mini monitor, not sure if that is possible with the replacement screen?

Well, since i posted this, i have removed Vista and re-installed XP and all is now fine, paddles behaving themselves, seems there we have yet another reason to hate Vista!!

Hi, im having an add problem with my Stelladaptor, im using Vista, with Stella 2.3.5 and a brand new Stelladaptor. When i use the paddles in any game, they do not work as they should, i do not get analogue control, instead what happens is that in Circus Atari for example, the man is either all the way to the right or the left i have no in-between control, the paddles simply do not work as expected. This happens in ALL games that use the paddles. I should also point out that the device is recognised in Vista and appears to work correctly in the Game device control panel test application in Vista. Anyone else had this issue, and if so what do i need to do? Thank you in advance...
