Does it have to be modern PC games? I've been playing Midtown Madness 2, Worms 2 and the original DOS Silpheed lately
Ahh Silpheed, really cool game even thought I suck at it hehe.

Jeff! You do leave the Denial forums! I've been messaging TMOSteel who says he has the kits but I'm still waiting on details like a price. He does say they are solderless though.
Holy smokes, solderless?? I would love one of the kits. The Astrocade is such a cool little system and I'd love to do some clean recordings of some of the games, especially since I have one of the mult-carts.

I wonder if you couldn't also achieve good results using a Raspberry Pi with the Mystic BBS software. The Pi has very low power requirements, and you could attach an external battery pack to sustain it through power outages.
Hmm that would be interesting. I have a Raspberry Pi laying around doing nothing. That's also why I chose the Netbook for my BBS, I got it with the extra large battery pack and also have an extra battery for it.

I'd like to see a photo of your setup in operation... as well as the name and connection information.
I can get you the specs of my netbook when I get home with a pic.
Specs:
Windows XP SP3, 1gb of ram.
Synchronet 3.1x (telnet / SSH / FTP server and Web server)
300+ doors up and running.
I've made custom classic 8-bit computer RPG ansi screens for my BBS, nothing special but I like to try to be original.
Some people have said it runs slower than a desktop machine, but for me I don't mind that as some of the action games run at a decent pace where as they would normally run too fast to even play on a conventional PC.

We're you able to get any of the PVM's with RGB connectors? Talk about amazing. I currently have 2 20" inch PVM's with RGB/composite and s-video and 2 14" with composite / s-video and they are amazing.
