  1. RoadBlasters the arcade machine from Atari was AWESOME! I played that game almost every day in college as I would stop by the union for a break inbetween classes. The version ported to the Atari Lynx is also very well done, although more difficult to control.

I don't know if we are talking about the same game.

  2. It is a small show, but I've been there in the past and I thought it went well. The crowd was small but very enthusiastic.

The Star World party afterward was a lot of fun. I haven't been to that arcade before, but I'll definitely go back. Lot's a classic machines and I had fun playing games I haven't played in over 20 years.

  3. I had high hopes for this game a long time ago, and between myself and my two kids, nobody could figure it out. I read the manual in detail many times.

    Now it collects dust.

If someone would tell me how this game works, I would deeply appreciate it.

  4. I joined the HD crowd about 2 years ago with a 55" Sony Bravia LCD TV, and the difference between DVDs and Blu-Rays is VERY noticeable. If you play it on a smaller screen, however, the difference is not noticeable.

Much depends on the size of the TV screen you have.

BTW, I have about 500 movies in my Windows Media PC collection now, hooked up behind the main living room TV (the 55" Sony) and about 60 of those are Blu-Ray. When it comes to movies like Star Trek, Transformers, GI Joe, and even Avatar, the extra crispness of the picture when using Blu-Ray is very much appreciated. It is so crisp that I think the whole fad towards 3D technology is a waste of time. When the 2D images are that perfect, they almost seem to pop out of the screen already.

I hate the 3D glasses. I tried them at home with the movie Coraline and will never do it again. When a game or movie has both 2D and 3D versions, I go for the 2D.

I'm really hoping the 3D thing is a temporary fad, but it probably won't be.

  5. I do know a place by me in villa park,IL not too far from where vgs is at

called wacky t's. I haven't been there but I think next year I'll prob go with them for specialty orders for double sided t's and maybe

a few in black double sided (cafepress lacks in that dept sad to say)

Dan, I don't know what their prices are, but the place out here in Crystal Lake called Think Ink has a great reputation and I have many of their t-shirts and hats from various organizations I belong to and they have all been top notch quality.

  6. Thank you for sharing this game and thank you for supporting the Lynx! This would be a great game for a future multi-game collection released on cartridge. I hope the pirates don't try to cash in on your efforts.

  7. I like them better than GameStop. I try to steer my business there instead of GameStop when possible. They carry used retro games and at least a few oddities that are more like the old FuncoLands before GameStop took them over.

  8. Quick question. Does anyone here have more than one Wii? (No Wii jokes)

If you have bought games from the Nintendo Online Store on one Wii can you also re-download or transfer them to play them on a second Wii?

As already stated, you cannot transfer the games to the other Wii. BUT...I've been told that the games may be saved on an SD card and they other Wii can play the games from the SD card. They just cannot be transfered to the internal memory of the Wii unless it is the original Wii that the game was purchased on.

  9. They always say hindsight is 20/20.....

Looking back, I will go out on a limb and state that the lack of DVD playing compatibility didn't even hurt the GameCube. Anybody who wanted one got one anyway and it ended up not being a major factor. It never evolved beyond "it would have been nice to have."

I have a Panasonic Q and I've played DVD movies on it maybe twice -- ever.

  10. How many of you use the 4 ports on the systems often? Because controllers are expensive, and only a few titles supporting it, and you need four friends to play anyway. Plus on small screens the display was so little you almost had to sit right in front of the screen to see what you where doing. I did play 2 player games often, because that is doable on smaller screens and less expensive.

I use all four ports all the time. I always thought that game consoles that did not ship with 4 ports built in were always designed with incredible stupidity.

  11. I've never understood the fuss over California Games: great graphics, especially in surfing, but there just doesn't seem to be all that much gameplay IMHO.

California Games is always perfect for "pick up and play" in a couple minute increments (great accessory in the bathroom). Being as easily distracted as I am, I always enjoy short, fun arcade-type games.
