  1. I believe that all to be total crap. They are the same Lynx's as any other with no special power button and no extra durability and DEFINTELY no photo-sensitivity.
  2. Wait....our Avatar is being printed on there too? Damn ...this was my chance to do something creative.
  3. I would like to wish wgungfu a happy birthday today by the way See you at MGC!
  4. Once again I find myself agreeing with Ransom. Maybe because you are special in being so unlucky, special attention may be available that wouldn't be otherwise available. Again my sympathies in your diagnosis and live every day to its fullest.
  5. The pong system I am bringing uses batteries, so I'd like to point out that I am doing my part.
  6. I've got a Super Pro Football on an Intellivision system I'm selling soon. What's that worth?
  7. Chicky, I wish you the best and I was on edge all day hoping to get a chance to log in tonight and to hope you had posted an update. Your doctor sounds very competent and supportive and I am sorry that your cancer was diagnosed as Stage 4. Your doctor's advice was solid.... search out every treatment possible and live life to its fullest. I would also listen to what Ransom said....rest and recuperate. Take care of numero uno right now....yourself. Take care.
  8. My prayers and wishes for a complete and speedy recovery Chicky. I am a cancer survivor myself and understand a bit of the terror you are going through. You will be okay.
  9. If you have friends and multiple handhelds, you can only link two GameGear systems together, and the Lynx can handle up to 16! (although about 6 is the practical limit).
  10. I have both....obviously from my AA name I prefer the Lynx. They're both great systems, but the Atari Lynx has....more..... "personality." It just has more of a retro feel and it is clunky enough to be satisfying. It's hard to explain. From a technical standpoint, I would say the GameGear is actually better. More games are available as well. If you are going to collect, the Lynx is easier to obtain a complete collection.
  11. When this is done, PLEASE make a physical copy to sell! I'm already in line to buy! Those screen shots look great!
  12. :::::must:::::deny::::::temptation:::::to::::sell:::::::out:::::::
  13. I hear what you're saying about Radio Shack...most of the people there are unable to remember any kind of TV connection older than HDMI. It sounds like you need an adaptor that converts a Coax output to an RCA input. If you do a Google search on "Coax to RCA converter" you'll get a bunch of results with vendors selling them under $15. Radio Shack's products go for about $30. Make sure you get an RF Modulator that goes the proper direction....i.e. coax --> RCA. Some are made to go the opposite direction (RCA --> coax).
  14. An older Mac makes a FANTASTIC computer to dedicate to music if you are into MIDI and MIDI instruments. Get yourself a MIDI interface and an older version of FINALE software and you are all set for writing music.
  15. Make sure to stop by The Family Game Room...that's my area and I'll have all my systems out to play.
  16. OMG.... I want it! I have got to have a SERIOUS talk with my wife tonight.... she's the boss.
  17. Bump! Less than 24 hours to go! Overseas people that want a set of discs .... PM me! I am pleased to announce that our first winner went to a Marine in the US armed forces and the CD's went out today.
  18. Apple II disks. After my father brought home an Apple \\e, we started buying 5¼ inch disks in lots of 100 and punching both sides to double out copying capacity. We had every copy program there was, although "Copy II Plus" or "Locksmith 5.0" or "Locksmith 6.0" was usually able to take care of the job. My father started by bringing home disks from work that were circulating around the office for everybody to copy, and then in high school I hooked up with other Apple II owners and we all swapped disks....even some of the teachers. My copy of "Olympic Decathlon" came from my Geometry teacher! About 8 years ago I GAVE away over 2000 Apple II disks with every program you can imagine (copies and originals) to a neighbor kid. Now I regret it.
  19. Baseball. I was at a friend's house who owned an Intellivision, and I thought he was the luckiest, richest bastard in the world and I hated him for it. After playing Baseball on the Atari 2600, and then playing Baseball on Intellivision with the ability to grab any player in the outfield I chose, I thought video games had reached their peak.
  20. Wow....$450K for Alien vs. Predator. I'm not a programmer, but I'm taking a wild guess that it beats the homebrew scene.
  21. There was a recent article in our local paper regarding how video rental stores all over the county are really struggling and fighting against On Demand cable movies and mail-order movies. Personally, I'm a huge Blockbuster customer and hope they stay in business for many years to come. I spend at least $40/month on rented DVDs. Afterall....how else am I going to keep my Media Center PC up to date with the latest movies?!?!? That reminds me....time to buy another 1.5 TB drive.
  22. Bump! Less than 24 hours to go! Overseas people that want a set of discs .... PM me!
  23. *drooling* Awesome collection. What game was intended to use the Jaguar Voice/Data Modem?
  24. The Super Gameboy is well worth the cost, and they aren't rare or expensive. Regular Gameboy games are colorized and you can change the color scheme, although keep in mind that means you get to manipulate about 4 shades of gray. You get a border as well and the game play is rock-solid.
