  1. Thanks! Just sent you an email.
  2. Yeah, just to update my own situation and in case anyone else has a bricked joystick due to the latest update: I've gotten no help. Not through Discord, nor the email support which just keeps asking me to do the same thing I outlined in my original post, only it takes 3-5 days between replies.
  3. I opened a support ticket with Atari, although I have not heard from them since my first reply a few days ago. I have tried other USB ports and I tried the factory reset process. If I understand what you are saying about the Atari button, I have tried that too. It's ok, I am sure we'll figure it out.
  4. I had the same happen with the classic VCS joystick tonight.
  5. I unlocked the Food Fight arcade game and one thing I noticed is that if Charley is holding food and completes the level, he doesn't have the food to start the next one (unlike the arcade game).
  6. Looking forward to it! Doesn't seem to be on the VCS store just yet, but I'm happy to keep checking.
  7. I have a lot of sympathy if the guy has a new child, this can't be easy, but it's also OK to call it at this point and ship to the people who don't care about the overlays.
  8. All the videos I have seen make it look amazing. Polyplay is taking preorders on it right now.
  9. Ah, thanks! Yes, I was hitting the wrong button. I clicked the download firmware button, got the .upd file, transferred it and it works!! This is amazing, thank you so much!
  10. It looks like the instructions say that the file should be called firmware.upd but when we download it, it's called firmware.ovr - with either work? I can't get my LynxGD to update so I am just troubleshooting. I assume I don't have it in what it considers the root directory, but on Windows I just see a directory come up for the sdcard and the firmware file is there.
  11. UPS wanted $230+ to ship it. I'm going to a DHL spot on Monday to check with them. ?
  12. I am sending mine to SainT tomorrow so hopefully something in there is solvable!
  13. Never saw Dark Chambers back in the day, this game is a GEM. Having a ton of fun with it.
  14. Hey there! I have had so many problems with my post office and other local shippers lately that I didn't feel comfortable shipping mine to SainT while all the nonsense was going on. (And I apologize for not communicating that to SainT.) Epsilon748, if you end up shipping yours to him in the UK just let me know and I'll send you $25 through Paypal or Venmo or whatnot to help offset some of the shipping cost, as we'd all benefit here by investigation.
  15. Yes, with BennVenn! That would be incredibly kind. Let me write you a direct message through here so I can send it to you. Thanks for being so great about this!
  16. I am having the same issue. A black (with vertical stripes of color along the side) or white screen with the GameDrive 1.04 after the first screen with the QR code displays. It seems to load games blind but after doing so does not change the screen. I only have batteries for it right now but I am going to order a power supply tonight for it to be shipped.
  17. Does anyone know what the red and green lights are supposed to indicate for the Satandisk?
  18. Oh, that's great, glad it was found. I was a freshman in high school when I started calling The Moose BBS. There were a few of them in Rochester that ran Bob Puff's BBS software back in the day. I am going to get the details wrong so I won't chime in at this point, but it was absolutely my favorite BBS software and in 1990 there were plenty of computers and BBS software for various computers to pick from.
  19. Thanks! Do you recall what the red and green LEDs are meant to indicate?
  20. I have an Atari 520ST. I also have a Satandisk that I bought a long time ago. The card that the Satandisk has is the one that came with it, a 2GB one with three partitions. I have never been able to get it to work. I was wondering if anyone knew if I was obviously doing something wrong. I am new to the ST but not old systems in general. I have a 9 volt power supply going to the Satandisk, what I have read is that that's in the range where it should be ok. I have it connected to the HD port of the ST. When I give power to the Satandisk a green LED flashes briefly and then a red LED goes on and stays on. It stays on throughout all that follows. When I turn the ST on it boots, but I don't see anything on my screen that indicates that the Satandisk is being accessed and then I get the green desktop. What I think should be happening based on some videos I have looked at is that some text should appear on the monitor indicating that the Satandisk is active and there should be some folders on the ST's desktop that I could click into. I have never seen that. I can attach a video of the boot process in case I am doing something wrong. (I have read that sometimes you need to hold the Alternate button down when doing a warm boot, I've tried that as well to no avail.) Any advice on what I could do next?
  21. I think the order list has been stuck on 4 for a long time. I can probably step up and order two if that gets us across the line. (Unless someone reading this is interested and wants to be the guy that gets us to 5?)
  22. I'd also like to purchase a fully assembled one. Thank you!
  23. Thanks, Paul. I turned the 800XL on this morning before work just to see the problem again and color was back. I will definitely look at that pot should that happen again. I didn't know about it, so I appreciate the information. I had left it off for about 8 hours... I guess this is a question for anyone, but are there components that could heat up and knock out color, to where letting it cool down for a bit would "fix" it?
  24. I have an Atari 800XL that is going to a computer monitor via a composite cable. It has been working flawlessly for years. The other day I left the 800XL on for about 18 hours. When I returned, the graphics were in black and white. I turned it off for a couple days and started it again and color was back. Today I left it on for about 4 hours and it is giving me just black and white images again. I've checked that the monitor is not at fault, but I am not sure where to begin troubleshooting this. Are there terms that would help me run some searches to find other people with this problem?
