    i have an Atari 800XL with 1050 disk drive but no bootable disk can anyone make me a bootable disk so i can test the actual drive? will cover costs am in UK thanks

    nope Falcon PSUs are fixed ratings so if you have a 110v version you would need to physically change it

    i'm new to the 800XL can anyone tell me how i can format a disk in the 1050 drive? i have the 800XL connected to the 1050 drive via the I/O cable does it matter which port the cable goes into on the back of the 1050? i have a couple of disks which don't autoload either so i was wondering how i can load these games? thanks

    can anyone tell me if the positive pin on the original power supply is the centre pin or the outer part of the plug that goes into the disk drive? thanks

    ok thanks so how does a 9V AC PSU power a 12v device anyway? it seems finding a 9v AC replacement psu is no as common

    i have a 1050 floppy drive without a power supply i believe it is a 9vAC type would i be able to use a 9v DC type? just wanted to ask before i plugged anything in! thanks

    i recenetly found a Lynx mk2 which does work but the screen has streaks horizontally across the screen it plays the games ok but i guess this is a failed / failing LCD screen? can anyone advise on the problem? thanks

    you are correct Guus yes there is a disk to use the Compo TOS 2.06 card on the Mega ST i also am looking for this disk / software so if you do find it please let me know i will do likewise

    well it's likely either to be a UK PAL model or European but if the guy says it works on a UK TV ok then it's most likely UK PAL the keyboard is a UK layout from the pictures also

    hi peeps as the title says, if anyone has any SF314 or SF354 external floppy drives casings / units i'd be interested all i need is the 2 piece plastic case, don't need the PSU or 14 pin cable don't mind if it's yellow and the drive is dead, i just need the case can pay with paypal or Atari swaps? thanks

    hi Lewis you mean the woody without the wood effect? yes i have 1 working vader console with original PSU and TV cable / 2 original Atari joysticks / paddles and even games if you want them can sell together or parts, let me know what you want am in the UK PM me

    that is most definately a memory issue, seen it before remove simms and change them either dodgy simms or damaged sockets, fiddly job that changing the simm sockets!

    i'm looking for some of those small floppy LED clear plastic diamond shaped parts that fit through the case on the Mega ST/STE/TT it usually fits onto the facia of the floppy drive on the Mega STE/TT it's also used on the power LED (well similar) if anyone has any please let me know as i need some.......

    yes the other "odd" thing is it has a STE/ST keyboard and white PC floppy drive which are different colours to the original grey hence it looks.... well... a bit..... odd

    hi all can anyone tell me what the mods were that C LAB did to their MK X falcon compared to the original Atari falcon? i know of the cubase mod and output jack bass boost reduction, was there anything else? the MK X was in the square metal rack style case and was the last type made thanks

    the 9v PSU are never 9v when tested with a multimeter, i've tested loads and they are always about what you say 12 / 13v so the psu sounds ok but if you have another try another seeing as both your Atari's have failed at the same time using the same PSU
