IF CPU gets the cart after all this:
I'm sure he will be able to date the chip and possibly the board, as well as comment on the solder job if it's not a socketed eprom, but I'm really curious about the labeling.
Is it label stock vs standard bond copy paper, is the adhesive set or still loose, is it a litho vs. color dot matrix vs. later jet or laser job? If CPU has access to a quality magnifier, he should be able to answer whether the label is faked or not.
... at which point he should completely "go dumb" on the subject, and package and sell the results of his analysis on eBay for $4.99 a throw. He can market his findings in a nice .PDF called "BEAGLE BROS - TRUTH OR FICTION???", with 25% of the sales going to each of his "investors"!
