  1. I have to admit I've NEVER come across a copy of that cart in the wild. It must therefore be incredibly rare. The Goodwill by me had roughly 30 copies when I was there last week. Want me to check for you? They were selling at $3.00 each. Sounds like a regular HOARD of Mantas! They MUST be rare for Goodwill to charge so much money for them! I'd love to have you pick me one up, but I'd be so worried about it getting damaged in mail freight I wouldn't want to chance it. Thanks anyway!
  2. I have this neat VIS deck and some games, but no controller. PM me if you think you can hook me up!

  4. I'm sure you'll get exactly what you pay for.
  5. Um.. he was kind of the original "computer blob".. I'll miss him for that.
  6. Maybe he's an ambitious reseller with slow postal service!
  7. IF CPU gets the cart after all this: I'm sure he will be able to date the chip and possibly the board, as well as comment on the solder job if it's not a socketed eprom, but I'm really curious about the labeling. Is it label stock vs standard bond copy paper, is the adhesive set or still loose, is it a litho vs. color dot matrix vs. later jet or laser job? If CPU has access to a quality magnifier, he should be able to answer whether the label is faked or not. ... at which point he should completely "go dumb" on the subject, and package and sell the results of his analysis on eBay for $4.99 a throw. He can market his findings in a nice .PDF called "BEAGLE BROS - TRUTH OR FICTION???", with 25% of the sales going to each of his "investors"! Everyone likes a mystery!
  8. Nope, same kind of dome switches as regular Atari sticks. They're STILL flimsy pieces of crap!
  9. Well, let's hope the seller isn't reading this thread - now that CPU's cover is blown, he may never GET that cart to pull it apart if it IS a fake.
  10. Heck, so many BB carts have been turning up lately that even I'll be able to afford one soon!
  11. Press a gang of kids under 18 and pay 'em $10 each to hoop that cabinet around those stairs.
  12. Another honest e-bay seller!!!
  13. Wow, thanks for posting that link! Before I broke away finally, I'd spent a half hour looking through all their stuff! It was really strange, but I'd completely forgotten all about those solid-state 70's games and how many of the shooters I'd PLAYED as a very little kid. Now I feel old.
  14. Wow, I thought for sure that one would turn up "lost in the mail" or "broken" or something!
  15. Did you get your $5 Glib yet? I'm sure the seller got some interesting e-mail afterwards.
  16. Wow.. Cassidy's signature gets turned into an eBay selling point! As someone who's signed an autograph ONCE in my life - and has wondered why ever since - I can appreciate his embarassment over the whole thing.. this seller ought to have the good grace to end this listing and take him up on his offer to replace the cart package. On the other hand, maybe Cassidy could start marketing "autographed" carts.
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=62053 .. I see the cart, but where's the gamback?
  18. Wow, nice looking copy! I should start hitting NES auctions more!
  19. Do Marco's pictures clarify anything or make the issue more muddy?
  20. I get that one mixed up all the time with the slightly less unsuccessful SNES super scope.. but I think besides the 6-in-1 pack, T2: Judgement Day is the only other US Genesis game that uses the Menacer?
  21. not mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=62054 Anyone have any guesses on what that 9th game is up in the right corner? The description isn't very helpful. Not a bad lot for $80..
  22. Buy a 12-pack of Hudepohl Sterling for $3.28 and send CPU the change!
