  1. Recent Ebay: My first Atari 130XE (with yellowing keyboard-yuck!) with a Rana 1000. I wanted it more for the Rana 1000 since that was my first floppy drive back in 1984!

Rework the motherboard, and slam it in a !200XL case...

    There is no finer machine...\

If I could find a decent 1200XL case. Can't believe how crappy those keyboards are near the end of the 8-bit life cycle. Can you really type on it??? Just completed the Super Video MOD today. Probably will do the 32 in one OS since the OS is socketed. Much nicer than my 800XL with Super Video MOD.

  2. I'm surprised to see so much Atari stuff come out of Reno. Just recently I asked my co-worker up there to keep an eye out for old Atari 8-bit stuff.

I know!! It's been crazy. Only 1 of the collections was from Reno but picked up most from between here and SanFran. There was the one collection I had to drive to LA for.

To add to it all, I am picking up a small collection in Sacramento this weekend. I'll post what I get.

Bad thing.... I am moving into a new house at the beginning of the month. Guess what I have to move???? LOL

Lucky you. Perhaps I need to post in Craig's list.

  3. I remember my parents buying me a TI-99 because it was the cheapest after rebates. That was about 24 years ago and I still have it! Unfortunately, the PEB was too espensive and I soon tired of using the tape drive. Never really got into the system. A few years after that, I got an Atari 600XL and never looked back.

Flash forward to recent times. A few years I found a TI with loaded PEB (minus RS232) for cheap. Now I need some programs to run on it.

BTW-all time favorite in the day was Parsec with voice synth.

  4. I also have a TI box that is populated. I forget what is inside as it has been a while since I played with it. I do know it has the floppy and controller with DOS cart. Can't remember if it had memory expansion and RS232 or not.
