I used to work 16 hour days around Christmas at a beverage warehouse, pulling orders and loading them. That was positively brutal. I won't do that anymore!

I've done those before. But they're typically self-inflicted, because I don't like leaving things unfinished just because the company I work for is too cheap to hire additional personnel.

  2. Son (7) watched the whole original Tron movie last week. Me proud.

My nephews (ages 8 and 11) both like TRON. They probably like TRON Legacy more than the original TRON, mainly because they seem to like the soundtrack better (we listen to both soundtracks in the car).

If you can find it, look for Intrada's edition of the WarGames soundtrack. Great stuff! They also released The Last Starfighter which is excellent.

12 hours? Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of 'ot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!

It might feel faster, because there's less wandering around in a literal "clicker" game, and it's also easier to get into it for short periods of time.

I "want to like" Animal Crossing, too. A friend calls the 3DS version his favorite game ever.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS is by far the best Animal Crossing, there's just no contest. I still have a soft spot for Wild World on the original DS though. =)

Elsewhere it was commented that one wouldn't want to be programming for the Voyager in case one made a mistaked and "bricked" it, far away in space. I commented that if an alien captures or destroys the probe, the programmer might still get the blame here on Earth that no data any longer are received.
