  1. Just checked the 32kb ballblazer kernel. I'm still amazed how good it looks. I should spend some time on it again...

Sorry, we're only interested in 4k and 2k games. If it can't be done in 4k or less, it's not worth doing. :D

The VCS has a cartridge/expansion slot. Let us use it to its full potential. The VCS is full of programming tricks and unorthodox methodology, let us use them.

Yeah, using expansion is for lazy people :D

  2. Staring at previous ballblazer kernels.

Yes, the famicom version hurts my eyes. I read in retrogamer that Peter Langston thinks the 7800 version is the only good port of the original 8-bit version.

  3. Playing Animal Crossing. I'm not sure why...

  7. What about a pacman where you control the ghosts (alternate with the fire button) and pacman is controlled by AI?

I believe the Coleco and Entex handhelds let you play a ghost.

Pac-Man Vs. on the Gamecube allows up to 5 players... 4 players can be ghosts. (Someone has to play as Pac-Man though)

There's a few flash games out there that attempt to do this, with varying degrees of success.

  12. I have one of those pnp controllers with a sonic game, running on batteries. I could switch it on (without a tv), knowing there is a sonic game going on inside with all kinds of things happening. That thought just freaks me out.

12 hours? Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of 'ot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!

I'll need to run SQLServer in parallels or something... I hope I'll 'get' the os, coming from windows. But it seems a bit like the amiga, with the top-menu. I like that.

postresql is worth looking at. I use SQLServer because some of our customers use it. And it has good support for xml output. Postresql seems to support xml too.

  22. gf: I need a new laptop. me: I've got this really nice lenovo x200s, doesn't break like your current, nice 1280x800 screen, faster than yours and windows 7 installed. Do you want that one? gf: no, I want a pink one.

my girlfriend looked at a laptop, didn't like the touchpad. looked at a more expensive one - still no. Then an even more expensive one - it's okay, but the UI in windows 8 seems like it needs a touchscreen so she wanted that.

I pay twice the price of the first laptop we looked at, we come home and she plugs a £2 budget mouse into it.

      lol.

Currently she has an eee1000h. It is too slow. Maybe I can speed it up by installing linux. Otherwise we go for a speedy (dark-)pink one.
