  1. My Dad was an unabashed Luddite for his entire life. He acted like DVD players were the most confusing thing ever. I did get a C64 after getting a paper route, but that was acceptable since it was a computer and my Mom was on board.
  2. My father refused to buy us a NES since we had a 2600. He thought that upgrading your video game console was a complete scam.
  3. While this looks cool, I’ve replaced all the old screens on my handhelds with modern equivalents. So I’m going to sit this one out. If I’d hadn’t gone to all that trouble to upgrade my old systems I’d be all over this.
  4. I have this one from Raphnet and it works great. Actually all their adapters I own work great. Hope this helps! https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products.php?controller=SNES&target=NES&category=adapters&start=0
  5. LOL. That metal case for the NT is something else. The Mega SG is a sweet little system as well. Just not quite as deadly.
  6. I love my NT Mini Noir, but I find myself playing most games on my MiSTer these days. It’s a great piece of hardware tho, and can double as a weapon in case of home invasion.
  7. What a deal! But seriously, if you wanted to give me $1000 for mine I’d be seriously tempted.
  8. Ours didn't have a remote so it must've been a earlier model than what you have. Just a big silver knob for changing channels. I tried to explain this to my 10 year old son once and he looked at me like I was crazy. But yeah, Rikki and Vikki is a fantastic game anyway you play it!
  9. What’s the make on that TV? One of my earliest memories was when our Zenith 23-inch console TV was delivered. My Dad kept it until after I moved out even though the primary color it displayed was green.
  10. Good to know, thanks!
  11. Just out of curiosity is the version available from Songbird the same as the one previously released? Just wondering if it's worth picking up the Songbird release if you already own a copy. Thanks!
  12. This is the worst example of thread crapping I've seen on here in quite awhile. I'm pretty surprised a mod hasn't stepped in yet. How much for the PC, and where are you located?
  13. It is quite good, but being an American I never used an original Speccy so I can’t compare. The Mega65 is tempting as well, but the price is a bit too rich for me. I can’t wait to see how you all like it tho. It looks amazing.
  14. I’m pretty sure it just uses the system battery, but it’s been awhile since I played my PSP. I tend to play most PSP games on the Vita these days. Has there been any new decent batteries released for the PSP? I only have a couple functioning originals and I hear the current 3rd party ones are pretty bad.
  15. I sold @fille1976 my pre production Concerto cart and he was friendly and easy to work with. Thanks again and enjoy!
  16. Bought a Walkman from @DNA128k and it came fast and well packed. Thanks a lot!
  17. This has been sold, thanks for looking! Hi all. I have up for sale a Special Edition Pre-Production Concerto cart for sale. I've had this Concerto since last December. I'm not sure if it's because of a hardware revision in my console, the SD cards I've been using, or a combination of both - but I haven't been able to get this to work with my 7800 reliably. However many folks in the Concerto thread have had much better luck than I, and I'm sure the folks there and @batari can get you up and running. I don't mean to "throw any shade" (as the kids say these days) at the Concerto, I bought it knowing it was (and still is) a work in progress - but I'd rather pass this along to someone with more time and knowledge who can enjoy it. I recently picked up a Dragonfly and don't need both. The Concerto comes with the sticker not applied in case you want to add a Pokey chip. I've also updated it to the latest 0.95 No Flash firmware. ( I know the screenshot below says 0.94a, but this is because @batari forgot to change the menu text.) I'm asking $75 shipped in the US with payment via PayPal. Actual shipping charges for the rest of the world. Thanks for looking!
  18. Bought an Atari 7800 Dragonfly cart from him and he shipped fast and packed it well. Thanks again!
  19. This has been sold on eBay. Thanks! I’m putting my OSSC up for sale. I got this in hopes of using it to make YouTube videos of classic games, but never found the time or motivation. I’ve used this unit a handful of times so it’s in great condition. I purchased it from Video Game Perfection in the UK. It is the perfect way to play your old consoles on a modern display. Included is: OSSC V1.6 unit (updated to current firmware) Multi region AC adapter Remote control with overlay If you’re scratching your head wondering what this is, see here for more info: https://videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-scan-converter/ Thanks! Aaron
  20. I have the Japanese import of this (known as Gunspike), and a quick eBay search shows that it goes for around $110 - 125 these days. So that's an alternative for those who want a copy for their collection. Honestly though, ever since I got a MODE for my Dreamcast I haven't even touched my physical discs. I'm not ready to part with them just yet, but with the ever looming threat of disc rot I'm afraid it will happen eventually. It pains me tho after spending all these years collecting games. Back on topic though: Great video! Cannon Spike is really fun, and AFAIK is still exclusive to the Dreamcast. Definitely worth it if you're a fan of Capcom as well since many of their franchises are represented.
  21. Not gaming related but I found this sweet leather motorcycle jacket for $20 at a garage sale. It was pretty cruddy but cleaned up nice. Now I can start my midlife crisis properly by joining a biker gang or a Ramones cover band. The only gaming related item I found was a PS Vita case for .25 cents, but I’m sure you don’t want to see that.
