    There are gerber files for a MIDI card too. I believe it has not been tested yet.

    Where might one find these gerbers? Inquiring minds want to know! ;-)

    Theres a few things in here I'd like but I understand why you just want to get rid of it all.

    Well, this is really the leftovers.  I mean, I had a complete collection of everything (except BattleSphere) before I took it to PRGE and sold off a chunk and then sold another chunk here earlier.  So, just trying to get it out the door and be done with it.

    It's on eBay now:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/285752013374

    The question I have is what was this used for. Seems with 6 monitors and only cassette based consoles and cables to allow multiple screens running, that it was some type of special art display or maybe a educational school setup. So many questions I like to know the background story to this.

    I will ask when I pick it up.

  4. Hello,

    I have the last of my Jaguar collection up for sale.  Would like to get rid of it in one go, so I have priced it to move (I think).  If it does not sell here, in one week, then it's off to eBay! (ugh!).  It is on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285752013374  But, I will discount it by $500 (and free US shipping!) for anyone at AtariAge.  I am asking $7500 $5500 shipped within the United States.  If it is going outside of the United States, I will discount it as much as possible.  We can come to an agreement, I am sure.

    Not looking to piece it out as I tried that and that has gotten us to this is what's left.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Pictures at the bottom.

  5. Hello all,

    Sophia 2 are in hand and ready to ship.  Here:  https://thebrewingacademy.com/products/sophia-2-dvi-output-gtia-replacement?_pos=1&_sid=9b960dc9a&_ss=r

    Perhaps I should have used the following wording:

    I am authorized to sell to the United States, Canada, and the rest of the Americas.  Anywhere else is up to Simius.  I am sure he has some method in mind.  He is a very conscientious and diligent person, so I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

    So far as I know, if you live in the the Americas (as in North and South), we have Sophias for sale.

  6. Folks,

    I bought a batch of Elektronite Intellvision Homebrews at PRGE because he did not have the room to take them back on the plane.  I do not have a lot of copies of them, but there is a variety.  I am not planning on carrying them once they are sold, so get them while they are here.

    https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/intellivision

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    -M

    EDIT: Will also trade for any ColecoVision/ADAm or Sega SG-1000 / SC-3000 or Mattel/Radofin software or hard ware I do not have!

    BTW, that "Kit Case" is the original version of the case.  The later ones had plastic covers that velcroed down over the carts so they didn't all fall out onto the parking lot when someone opened the car door as you were playing with the lid of the case propped up against the car door.  Yes, that happened to me. ;-)

    HOWEVER< you should NOT let that case go.  The original ones are harder to find in my experience.

    Can you speak to the CV-NUC+ options available on TBA?  I'm super confused about what is currently available in order to have a complete one.  It sounds like if I buy "DIY+Chips" and "Case Only",  that should cover everything?  If not,  what is missing?  Because the pricing is vastly different for those 2 options vs the "complete" options.  Makes me think there is something not included in "DIY+Chips"

    I try to be pretty clear on the website.  Here is the text from the order page.  Not all options are available right now because of things.  Let me know what I can do to make this more clear.  Thanks!

    Complete, tested, assembled into a case with a built-in keypad: This is a plug and play version.  All you need is a standard Atari/Commodore/TI (5pin din) A/V cable and a controller (any Atari standard one will do!) and play away.   Includes a 3d printed case.

    Complete, tested, assembled into a case WITHOUT a built-in keypad: This is a plug and play version.  All you need is a standard Atari/Commodore/TI (5pin din) A/V cable and a controller (any ColecoVision standard one will do!) and play away.   Includes a 3d printed case.

    DIY with all hard to find/programmable chips All chips will be programmed (where necessary) AND soldered to the board (SMD) or soldered into their sockets (DIP). No case included (see note below of what is included in this option)

    DIY-Bare Boards:  All four boards (Main, MSX, Quad, & Keypad) bare as the day they were manufactured in beautiful blue!

    DIY-ATF1500A-10JU & Socket: This chip is fairly easy to find, BUT it requires a VERY special (and expensive) programmer in order to flash it.  SO, for those DIY folks that want to do everything else themselves, but don't want to buy a programmer just for this chip, here you go.

    Case only: This is just the 3D printed case with all screws and insets. Also, includes both lid types (hole for keypad and no hole)  Grey is the default color.  If you want a different color, contact us for costs and availability.

  11. Folks,

    I have four coin-op arcade games for sale. They are located 15 minutes west of Sacramento airport (Woodland, CA).

    All four work and are in pretty good shape.

    Zaxxon: $650 or best offer

    Cocktail, some burn-in noticeable when off. Coin mechs work

    Space Invaders Deluxe: $550 or best offer

    Cocktail, color gels have some water/sun damage. Screen is good

    Has a multi-ROM installed

    Phoenix:  $450 or best offer

    cocktail. In good condition, but not perfect.

    Virtual On: $1200 or best offer

    https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10342

    In very good condition. Player two screen was working and now does not display. Probably an easy fix, but have not had time to look.

    You *must* arrange for pickup. I can probably deliver the cocktails within NorCal for a small fee, but the VO:OT is a BIG machine and will not fit in my van.

    PM if you need more info.

  13. Hello,

    {apologies for the necrobump}

    I have a basic question that I cannot seem to find the answer for (and that, at one point, I used to know):  how do I prevent guest users from being able to write files to the server?

    Thanks

    EDIT:  figured it out.  For those also looking:

    Login to pi using your username/pass (because you obviously have already removed the pi/tnfs combo, right? ;-) )

    use the following command:

    sudo nano edit /etc/samba/smb.conf

    {scroll down to this}

    [tnfs]

            path = /tnfs
            writeable = Yes  {CHANGE THIS TO "No"}
            create mask = 0777
            directory mask = 0777
            public = yes
            force user = tnfs
            force group = tnfs

    {reboot for it to take effect}

    @MacRorie is this consistent with the mylars you sell? Are the two halves and/or the middle separator sheet glued together?

    There is no glue anywhere on them. Period. They do not come with glue. We do not add glue to them.

    EDIT: I am not at my shop right now so I cannot physically verify this right at the moment, but to the best of my recollection, there never has been any glue holding it together. It is possible, although not probable, that there is glue on them and in shipping hundreds of them, I have never noticed glue.

    EDIT TWO:  Nope, no glue.  However, they are fused together at that point.  So, my thought is this:  Someone (or something) had to pull apart the two pieces.

    On a more probable note, the mylar is held into place by pegs in the keyboard case. It is my recollection that those holes are where the pegs are located. If it was forced into place, it could have resulted in damaged during an install attempt

    THIS IS ALL CONJECTURE ON MY PART and should be taken with a very small grain of salt.

    So, let's put this to bed, shall we?  Someone (or something) pulled the two sheets apart. It could have been a very small gremlin inside of the shipping box or a very large gremlin outside of the shipping box.  You can place your bets where you will.

    Those $14.99 mylars are shipped by themselves in 9x7x3” box with the the gallon ziploc bag ballooned up to prevent crushing during shipment. In the 100s of mylars shipped, none have become creased and certainly none have had holes put in them.

    Edit:  All of this could have been avoided by putting the mylar in the box it came in and putting that in with the 65XE.

    I got around to upgrading my Fujinet firmware this evening.  I tried loading drivers, pushing buttons, changing cables and a bunch of other stuff and could not get the flasher to recognize the FN... nothing worked!

    So I decided to try the other one.  Plugged it in and away it went... upgraded the first time.  No problem...

    Then I went back to the first one and noticed that the USB port on the FN board was crooked. I took apart the FN and found that the USB port had some bad solder joints on it and was totally wiggling.  I never used it before so never noticed it was defective.  I tried soldering two of the connections to tighten it up but I am not equipped to deal with the five tiny connections on the port.  SMD soldering is a little bit out of my league...

    Anyone know someone who can fix it?  (This one came from VCC so I cannot send it back to Gavin).

    Send it to me,  I will fix it and send it back to you.  Shipping *from* me will be covered.  If it is beyond repair, I will replace it for you, again, free.  No worries.  Just my way of being a benefit to the community.
