Lynx Prototypes Found: Rolling Thunder, GeoDuel, Vindicators, MORE
MacRorie replied to MacRorie's topic in Atari Lynx
Sorry, thought I replied to this, but I do not see the reply. I have slowly started to put download links on the website. They are in the description. I will keep adding to them as I get time. -
Thanks! This will save me from getting the EXTRA big calipers out
-
We will. Just need to sit down with TinkerCAD and get it done. I also have a few other case ideas that I need to get done. Will try to do it during the break. -M

Sorry, but since USPS put a pause on all packages to Australia and New Zealand, the only way to ship it to y'all is DHL and UPS and, well, they charge an arm and a leg. As soon as USPS lifts the "pause," we won't be locked in to such high carrier rates. Also, the fully built ones are now available for sale : EDIT: Some people are having trouble finding the link. (craftily hidden in the sentence above) so here it is CLICK ME

MyTek 576NUC+ Atari Computer for sale (and MOREEE)
MacRorie replied to MacRorie's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Sure. I just uploaded it 28NOV21, 1515: -
The DIY "Kit" is currently available. https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/atari-800-xl-xe-xel-xld/products/xep80-ii-by-mytek The Assembled version will be available for sale almost immediately. Just waiting on a final part. Let me know if you have questions!
-
Yes, we will offer it as a fully assembled and a "mini-kit." If you elect to DIY it, we will also have the ability to sell you pre-programmed EPROMs. The boards shipped from China today, so should see them soon and then will put them up for sale on the website. Will update as things move along. -M

Question how many Atari Jaguars do you keep on hand?
MacRorie replied to Pete5125's topic in Atari Jaguar
8 Jaguars (2 need as yet unidentifed repairs), 3 CD units (all functional except one has an annoying click even after being repaired). That is a hard question. I mean given eNay prices, I am tempted, but then I would probably start selling everything off and the collection is so big, it dissuades me from going any further. -
Apologies about that. I will implement some more quality control. PM me your details, if you would. Thanks again for your business!
-
I pre-ordered mine direct from Atari (with a money order direct to the VP of Marketing who was living near to me at the time, Don Thomas. However, I did not receive it until THREE WEEKS AFTER launch because Atari management took all of Don's units and shipped them to retail stores. I literally could have bought one at the store earlier than getting it from Atari. Typical Atari, though. -M

We could probably do something for you. What did you have in mind? https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/vectrex

May I ask why you got an XEL II (ostensibly for the 1088XEL) for the 800 and not just the external MIDI interface?
-
Glad it all worked out.
-
Good call. The default for all A8 UAVs is to ship with the 800XL & all XE configuration.
-
Well, the first things I would do is double-check your UAV connections, just to make sure. Make sure all the wires are where they are supposed to be and that you have good continuity. I say this as someone who has installed it "perfectly" more than once and then realized I missed something. I would *especially* make sure that you are getting good continuity from the terminal strip to the monitor port. Check from the solder point UNDEr the terminal strip and not from the screw as the screw is not always a good indicator of continuity from the UAV to the port. I do not think the UAV is not getting enough power. Although anything is possible, I do not think it is probable. Would definitely double-check and make sure the grounds are in place. (See above). The fact that you could not verify video before makes this a little bit of a "shot in the dark" (pun intended), but keep plugging. Also, do you know if you are getting *any* signal out? In other words, does your monitor tell you it is getting a signal and it is just a black screen or is it not getting anything? If it is the former, then the UAV is putting out something. If the latter, then the UAV is either not getting a signal to put out orthe connections are not secure and, thus, no signal to the monitor.

After a long good and productive development time, The Brewing Academy is proud to announce that the 576NUC+ is now available for sale!! Yeah! Woo! MyTek's Atari 576NUC+ Computer *I* would like to think that it is a VERY reasonable price all around. Also, if you want to purchase it a little bit at a time, then you are welcome to do so! The PAL version includes the ColorBurst daughterboard for PAL color. We expect that these will take about 2-3 business days to build until we get a good supply of them pre-built, so expect your order to take about 5 business days from order date to ship date. We plan on being faster than that, but wanted to under-promise just in case. We also have a lot of other new products available for sale: Want a 3.5" floppy drive? Well, we are now selling what we are calling the "Atari 1035"! Developed by DropCheck and I, this features all new parts (well, except for the 1050 case) and works very nicely with SpartaDOS X and SpartaDOS 3.2. It will work with other Atari DOSes, but your mileage may vary. Atari 1035 by The Brewing Academy Also, if you have an Atari with an Ultimate 1M already installed AND you want to have access to Mass storage WITHOUT occupying your cartridge slot OR modifying your case, we now have the PBI2CF3 and ECI2CF3 CompactFlash hard drive interfaces: PBI2CF3: Put a CompactFlash HDD interface on you 800XL or 600XL (you will need to add two wires inside of your 800XL and one wire inside of your 600XL. VERY EASY) ECI2CF3: Put a CompactFlash HDD interface on any Atari computer with an ECI (130XE, some 65XE, and some 800XE) No modifications needed, plug & Play We also have Vectrex cartridges, CEDs, Amiga & Commodore products, and MORE MORE MOREEEEEEEE! {ahem} done now.

Glad you think so because it is the price of the default one as well! BTW, this is as good of time as any to announce that the 576NUC+ is available for sale!! Yeah! Woo! Lynx Prototypes Found: Rolling Thunder, GeoDuel, Vindicators, MORE
MacRorie replied to MacRorie's topic in Atari Lynx
That's "Doctor" MacRorie. I did not go to evil communication school for six years to be called "Mister" thank you very much! (I'm kidding) (Not really) Well, huh, I suppose it has been a year. I suppose I better figure out how to do that. Will let you know. -M -
Absolutely correct. Deepest apologies.
-
If anyone has questions, feel free to PM or email me.
-
Thank you for the offer. I will just have to rely on the Ph.D. and 20 years of collegiate teaching in Communication.
-
Well, since I wrote the majority of the manual, I can tell you I am not an engineer nor do I write for engineers. I thought I laid it out in easy step by step instructions. I will see what I can do about making it more accessible.
