Hello, all, instead of starting a new thread, I thought I would hijack one of my own on the XF551. How do you tell the difference between an "original" power/control board and a "modern" one? Thanks
-
Thanks! It was great to see it all. There was some 2600/5200/7800 stuff as well. I will put them up in their respective forums or here if that's okay.

Hello, I had taken some pics of the 8bit stuff at E3 this year and thought I would share them. Some stuff I have not seen there before!

Never mind. I think I found my answers. I am curious as to why I am not getting a good image via the eBay AV device, because the pinouts are dead on and the audio is not even connected in Ambery's special cable.

Hello, I have a few 8bit carts for trade. All work, all are loose. I am looking for carts I do not have. There is nothing really exciting here, I know, but figured I would post them up for trade. All are the 400/800 brown labels unless noted (or not Atari, obviously) Asteroids Centipede Defender Donkey Kong (x2) (one w/ manual & one without) Donkey Kong Junior (silver XL label) Missle Command Qix (x2) River Raid Robotron: 2084 (Silver XL label) (x2) Star Raider (hey! that's what it says! :-) ) Star Raiders If interested, PM me and let's see if we can trade. I only have about 40 or so carts, so I am sure you have some I do not. Thanks!

Hello, I recently found this (http://www.ambery.com/rgbcgatovgac.html) being talked about on the Best Electronics website and thought it might be a possible interface between the Jaguar AV devices and a regular LCD monitor. There are other reasons I thought it might be useful, but this was the primary one. So, I went ahead on sourced one and got it today. My results were . . . mixed. When I connect it to this: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 171820310465 I get a picture that is fairly stable. There is some static noise, but I think that is because their is audio coming through on the DB9 (I once asked the pinouts and there is audio on one of the pins). However, when I try both the Scatbox and the Catbox, the signal is not supported by the box. I am pretty sure a signal is coming out because it says "Not supported" every so often. So, I thought I would post here and see if anyone had any thoughts. I will look to see the pinouts for the ebay MIO, it's on another computer.

In development - SD card based Multicart

I am going with the already suggested: "Take my money already!" -
A friend of mine and I are CONVINCED the drones cheat! We have been playing it off and on for almost 25 years now and are routinely aggravated when some drones will seemingly intentionally hit your car so their buddies can get past you. I would LOVE to ask the programmer(s) if that was part of the code or just the result of years of frustration!

Ummm, LOTUS! Seriously, that would be cool. Flashback thing would be okay, but another good racing/driving game would be great.

I would love to play the KA version. I mean I am desoldering cart PCBs just to be able to conveniently play ROMs. I have a skunk board to try them out, but would like to be able to just pop them in. Also, since it would be best to play networked, I need at least two copies, which seems to be difficult. If KA releases some more, I am on that bandwagon.

Any chances of purchasing copies of the Bonus cart for those of us who did not get one?

Good thoughts headed your way. Get well. The rest is not worth the concern. -
Seriously, that looks amazing! I cannot wait to play it on my Jag! Please TAKE MY MONEY!

The prototype looks great! Nice work.

Using the Lynx as a controller/subscreen would be awesome! The code is there, just needs to be implemented. Dream version: Voice modem becomes a reality. But honestly: Catan / Risk / Monopoly. (hell, even the Lynx has monopoly!) Those would be awesome party games, save setup times and be easily down via a team tap (or trade a controller). Here is a massive dream project: 1. Any one of the board games, above. 2. Use the Lynx as a sunscreen to track your cards/real estate/cash/etc 3. Be able to use the voice modem/interwebs to do multiplayer over the net! There you go! The ultimate home brew!™

What the heck, put me down for another one (two total).

I am anxiously awaiting a cart run for this and Relief Pitcher and Hot Dog. I would *really* like for me to be able to give someone my money for these. . . . .well, an amount of money DEFINITELY VERY south of 10k. Antarctica south of that figure. (okay Tierra del Fuego south, perhaps)

Yeap, You read the correctly. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321773775933 Not sure what is more mind boggling, the price or the fact that AFTER $10,000 you are still expected to pay shipping! -M

我不值得。

Fair enough. I would commit to buying 5-10 if it makes the difference for a run happening.
-
How many would need to be pre-sold for the run to commence? IS there a schematic somewhere? I would love to see it and put it together. Thanks!
