  1. Wow. I did not realize that. Very interesting way to build a machine.
  2. Hmm, I am just trying to figure out what is going on. Perhaps you are correct and it is a lost cause, but I would think that if it were completely gone, it might not even power up. Of course, this just could be hope. It is a fairly different beast. I thought it might be a mystery folks would like to work on with me.
  3. Indeed. I took it apart to the base. Although there is some dirt/oxidization near the cart connector and a few of the chips, it is not as bad as the picture makes out. I think the high resolution and magnification makes it look worse than it is (but then again, who knows). Is there a known way to clean the cart connector? I am not saying it will fix it, but it might.
  4. That would seem to imply it would not power on, though. Also, this model has the TV channel switch next to the RF output. This would seem to imply it is an NTSC model with a green light. Note: the Boot ROM is an EPROM and not a ROM
  5. Yeah, that's what I thought as well, but if I use composite out, I should still get video, right? Yeah, the corrosion is a bit unsightly. Suggestions for cleaning without damaging further?
  6. Okay, so I got a used Jaguar today and it is definitely odd. My main problem right now is that I am having difficulty getting video out of it. I have tried to get video through the back via a number of ways, to no avail. I have tried the RF hook up that works fine with my 7800 (through a VCR to my LCD TV) and no luck. It powers up (the power light comes on), but I get no sound or video. Here is the odd part: It has no serial number sticker and a green power on light. Power supply is US with a sticker (but that only means that is what it has, not what it came with). So, any ideas on how to get video out of it? There are some other odd things about it as well, but I will let the pictures tell the tale
  7. Very cool news! I am looking forward to being able to purchase one (or two if it's comlynxable!)
  8. Both the PS3 DS3 and the PS4 DS4 work with it. I think the picture quality is quite nice. Even when I am playing PS3 on it. I have one because it allows me to play my PS4 games either in another room or while on the road (very easy to link up and play games, you need a good connection for there to be no snags, but it works well) Also, sometimes it is easier to play games on the TV rather than on the Vita. Not all Vita games work on the PSTV, so you should check into which of your favorites you expect to play on it.play
  9. SO glad to see this available! I ordered my copy!
  10. I can't upload the documents since it is 75MB, but here is a workflow that will do it for you (on a Mac) Combine PDFs.workflow.zip
  11. Yeah, I distinctly remember when I did it. It took me from about 9 pm until 7 am the next morning. I really have NO idea where 11-19 went. I am really curious. I will keep looking. I still have my original Lynx and this is the one system that I have never pared down or sold. A friend and I just recently (last 6 months) beat Zarlor Mercenary. We routinely play Comlynxed Checkered Flag (by the way, the drones cheat like #$%^&*). All this to say that the Lynx is near and dear to my heart. I will keep looking for the other maps. Thanks for the kudos

  19. Folks, Many years ago, I drew these maps for Gauntlet (on the Lynx, of course). I found them again when rifling through some stuff. I thought someone might find them useful. I cannot seem to find Levels 11-19, but I will keep looking. I scanned the first 10 levels and the last one. If these are useful, I will scan and upload the rest. If not, then no bother. I also have some for Jaguar AvP if someone wants me to scan those in as well.Gauntlet Level 1.pdfGauntlet Level 2.pdfGauntlet Level 3.pdfGauntlet Level 4.pdf
  20. Hello all, I apologize if this is the wrong thread. Feel free to tell me where to go, if I should post elsewhere. I want to resurrect my BBS. Many years ago (in the 90s) I ran The Bates Motel BBS on my 130XE/MIO w/ BBS Express Pro. I took it down and am getting back into the 8bit. I have been looking at solutions and I really like the Lantronix solution. I understand the MSS-100 is now discontinued, but the DS-10 will work. What else would I need? I need to find a new/used copy of BBS Express Pro as I sold/lost my copy two decades ago. Thanks for your help
  21. PMs will soon be sent, I would love to see this as a physical release!

  23. Awesomeness. Just awesome. Thank you very much
