Nostalgia is probably the biggest reason. I still have my old system from when I was a kid. 3 years ago, the Atari bug bit me and I blew all the dough I got for Christmas on like a hundred games, plus a couple of new systems, joysticks, etc. that were included in the auctions I purchased. Then I found out about this site and all the awesome new homebrew games that are out now, and I've been hooked ever since. The modern systems just don't appeal to me. My friends and family can't understand why I still love it, though I am teaching my four-year-old how to play. He likes Grand Prix and Q*Bert!

I'm a newbie to the message boards but not to the store. I purchased Toyshop Trouble and Stella's Stocking. This was all I could afford for now. At least I can still play Reindeer Rescue, which I purchased last Christmas.
