  1. dont forget one color that you can use in the background, but needed for sprites as transparence color. it always must be color0 in the SCB, for easy to code its should always be color0 in the main palette. I will test some streaming things in KWT - i think i can reuse the code in the next project. Regards Matthias.
  2. did i understand it right, lordkraken will code MK2 ? with my routines of KWT i planed to build a fighting game like sf or mk, a project from me and 108stars. You dont need all sprites at the same time in RAM, so its possible to stream a started sequence from ROM
  3. you cannot kill a card, you cannot kill the bootloader
  4. my sounddriver in newcc65 has about 4K - i dont know why you need 16K for your driver :-/ 4K is no problem to integrate. Björn also wrote a code for flexible startedresses. Regards Matthias

  8. Maybe if you can hack each existing Game to see where the startsettings are in the code, you can detect the game and manipulate the selected ROM-sequence. But its to much work to do...
  9. iam not sure, but i think - Not possible. You need a software that makes a RAM-Dump, but you cant easy load one program in RAM bevore the Maingame is startet. There is no unused RAM usually that can by used for such a "troyan horse". Regards Matthias

    Did you test it with highcolor / like Alpine games, Lynxopoly-Intro etc.?

What a dream, i think for this money thats not possible - a complex PCB that can hold all the components in 2,5mm Material and maybe 4 or more layer takes more than 12 bucks and than you have to care about some other things that needs some money in advance... if you can produce thousands of that pcb maybe there is a way.

I dont use this type of prototyping, cause its to much to do if you would test some variations of the code - erasing - flashing, four components you need to handle(erase,burn,cartrisge, chip). the flashcard from lynxman only needs some seconds, including erasing and writing. If you want to try a demo, i think this cheap way is OK, if you really want effective coding, you need another tool. Regards Matthias

  17. We plan to integrate some special sprites in every background, but at the moment its limited by one per background. In the IK+ Style background we animated the sun on the water... be suprised what things 108Stars draws and i get it alive

  21. rygar buyed the last things they where in the Atari german headquarter as they closed. he was a great fan from the first hour the lynx was born, and he did that back in the 90s where nobody cares about non-selling and inventory stuff from the closing german Atari office.
