Ps2 Port of Linux? So, you could have the PS2 and when wanted, webbrouser and such, thats pretty cool. I have yet to purchase a new gen. console...this new info, really could swing me to the sony, which until now wasnt even much of a thought.

liveinabin- i have to agree, a mac version is needed, but if the pc version ends up in the bargin bin soon, there will never be a mac version. GLTRON is a good game, but I find it a bit boring since the computer riders dont go after anyone, they just drive around and try to live as long as they can, i found going after them only killed myself as i would always turn just a bit too prematurly attempting to cut them off. an online version of GLTRON would be great so human vs human games could be done.

i had serious sam demo on the PC, its aimed at being doom style, constant action, hords and hords of badies afteryou. Serious Sam II is just as funny. the chainsaw is a perfect weapon, "look ma, I'm a lumberjack" quotes like that should be in every game. most of the games out there today are just too serious, Games are suposed to be fun.

I have been very slow to getting either a GC or an xbox...I have rouge leader though, once the 99 price it hit, i suppose i will stop on the way home from work and get one. I will probably get an xbox in the winter time

WARLORDS

I like side scroller games. I wish there were more of them. Prince of Persia I and II... Out of this world... Wings of Fury.... Captain Goodnight.... Side scrollers do well...even toda, look at the success of Abbe's Odessy. I hope that Prince of Persia 4 will go back to side scroller, forget that 3d stuff. but thats not to say i hate 3d games too, dont get me wrong.

I have these controllers. not too bad, there are slight issues, but after a few hours of useage, you can get them to run pretty good. certain games they are difficult to use, HERO is tough with them. the 7800 games are good with them though.

Xevious would be my fav followed by joust choplifter is one of my fav's too eventhough its not the greatest port, its just fun.

cyberfox, I dont think a new lynx would be worth it. The new Atari portable should be based on the Jag system. and i guess if you have enough money to do so, I would get a hold of Ben at http://www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/ he has done a few portables, the 2600 first, then he did a protable PS and a portable SNES. I am not sure why he hasent tried to do a portable Jag. he seems to have the access to machines to make his own cases for these units too. I bet if you give him a Jag, some $$ and your desire, he would be interested in making a portable Jag. Honestly, a revised lynx would be nice and all but then you would need to have new software for it, and who is gonna do that? a portable Jag already has a great line up of games. doing a portable Jag does have some issues though, do you make it use the CD's too? his portable PS used the CD's but thats all the unit needs to run, here there are carts as well as CDs. I think one would have to make a choice on which software medum to support. unless there is a way to get the software off the carts and onto CDs, or vise versa. anyhow, thats my imput, I do own a lynx and i think its a pretty good unit. sure it could have been better, but time and tech, are the only things to allow that growth. and if the company cant keep up, then others will fill the void, example: nintendo gameboy. looking at the pic for that machine, the space cavern cart is not like either one listed here at atariage's page. so if you are into collecting the carts too, this is an interesting find. good price too.

My Wife Loves Centipede, she will play that game for hours. its funny too cuz we get the whole house shacking with the sound coming out of the surround sound system. if the phone rings, no one can hear it. she thinks water ski is a neat idea but we dont play that one much, cuz the sound just irritates her (women, sometimes they just cant tell the difference between noise and music) Kevin
