  1. Thanks for the link! I've just paid for the pre-order and shall be looking forward to playing it.
  2. I downloaded the full game about an hour ago. Has anybody else done so yet? My first impression is that its an absolute AAA stunning title. Super smooth and slick with its 60fps 1080p graphics, top tunes and superb handling. I've had my PS3 from launch day and own several games that I'd rate highly but this is the first game that stands a chance of making me love it. Oh, and the online mode has no discernible lag whatsoever. Simply awesome.
  3. Have you played the Arkanoid game yet? I'm considering importing the spinner if it's good too - I hate to import it just for Space Invaders. Yep, I totally adore Arkanoid DS. Its second only to Mario Kart DS in my collection as the most played game for that handheld. The renowned Retro Gamer magazine reviewed it in last month's issue and only gave it 50-something percent which I was utterly appalled at. OK, its not without its faults such as many of the levels having quite a narrow playing field and the graphics are fairly functional but the playability is so fantastic that I'll switch it on for a quick go and still be on it over an hour later. It plays absolutely fine with the d-pad although I've not tried it with the stylus yet. Taito's spinner controller just adds a bit of panache to the overall experience as it obviously more closely simulates the controls of the original Break Out coin-op. I ordered my spinner controller from Play-Asia also when it first came out. I wanted a white one to match my DS Lite but as that colour was out of stock everywhere at the time I went for the silver one over the pink one . With DS Lite it sticks out a few mm but its still a secure fit. I may have said this before elsewhere I think but all my gaming prayers would be answered if Jeff Minter ever ported Tempest 2000 or an update of Tempest for DS utilising the spinner controller.
  4. I had no idea this game was so pricey nowadays. I bought my first Jaguar back in February and within a week had snagged a BNIB sealed copy of B2K off ebay for about £10/US$20 plus shipping. I guess I must have been lucky.
  5. Mario! Never saw the attraction with Mario Bros. but have pretty much loved every sequel since apart from Super Mario Bros. 2 which of course wasn't a proper Mario title anyway.
  6. I just found out N64 achieved lifetime sales of 32.9 million units so it didn't do as poorly as some seem to think. As I've said earlier in the thread, it was trounced by PlayStation when measured by market share but not if measured by profitability for Nintendo.
  7. Yes, and as I've also previously stated in the thread, everyone perhaps need to remember this crucial fact when criticising Dreamcast in relation to this game.
  8. Yep, I stand corrected. I got confused with another game that only supposedly had 5000 copies released which incidentally was the PAL version of Space Channel 5 pt.2 on PS2.
  9. The only other PD game I own apart from PDS is PD Orta (Xbox) which is pretty cool. I've heard PD Zwei/II is similar in that its an on-rails 3D shmup similar in some ways to Space Harrier. Is that correct, do you know?
  10. Thats probably very true. Many games fell vivtim to short lifespan but it just makes them more desirable:) Yep, it was released towards the end of Saturn's lifespan. I also recall reading somewhere Sega only released around 5000 copies of the PAL English language version. I'm unsure how many copies they released in the US but as it appears to be pricey there too common sense would perhaps suggest that was a rather limited release also. My guess is that as Sega pulled the plug on Saturn in the US a while before they did so in Europe perhaps they decided not to manufacture too many US copies.
  11. It certainly does rule. It doesn't quite play all PAL games but it plays the majority. I love connecting it to my TV via a Scart cable to get a superior quality image in addition to the fact it plays my Mega Drive games at 60Hz rather than my PAL Mega Drive's 50Hz.
  12. Nice to see the first two Panzer Dragoon games in there. I don't have either but I'm kinda celebrating today as I've just taken delivery via ebay of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Woohoo!
  13. The only region-specific game is Dragon's Lair for the Jaguar CD unit. Welcome to the world of Jaguar!
  14. Cool. Just one thing, as I don't wish to derail the thread, Tee Off is a golf game, not tennis!
  15. Any chance of adding a European leg to your JagFest tour? Please!! Yes ,actually traveling overseas with the JagFest is something i want to do aswell, kinda like what Gaztee does with his VR setup ,but obviously i wont be able to bring all the Jaggy goods that i have here in the states. Ive got alot of plans and support for the Jaguar in the future. JAGUAR RULES!! I'm dribbling with excitement! JAGUAR RULES!!
  16. You sure get plenty of dust in your town! P.S. Watch your DC doesn't overheat as its air vent is right alongside your Genesis.
  17. Any chance of adding a European leg to your JagFest tour? Please!!
  18. @ Buddies, Summer 2010 maybe a while off but I'd seriously consider holidaying in the US at that time to see your setup and to meet up with you and other Jaguar fans off JS-II and AA in person.
