Hi all, I finally circum to getting an Intellivision console after 30 years, after being a life long Atarian. Console off ebay with games, Immaculate condition and seems to work...except. Powers up no problem, and displays title screen, but.. After selecting a game to start it crashes and goes blank screen. Examples, soccer plays any where from 4 to 30 seconds. Lock and chase crashes as soon as player one starts. Rest of games crash shortly after starting. But Pitfall works perfectly. I have powered the console on for over an hour on title screen, and no problem. Any one have any ideas what this would be? I have cleaned, power switch, all carts and cart port. I was thinking it may be a capacitor issue, but can't find any details on it. have even lifted and resit the ICs (except the ones with heatsinks, as they are glued down.) Help.....

hi all, i have just read and caught up on thread.. i looked at the item, and it does look like it's sprayed.. problem is... i am in the UK and used to work in silica shop. I don't remember this item in the shop, BUT.. i do vaguely remember something about a special edition gold lynx, i think it was bundled with a game, and may possibaly been a prize in a UK magazine. Think there were 10 made, i say made. but in reality i do think they were just stock Lynx sprayed gold. Probally not done at factory level, but rather just with Atari UK permission. Again, this is only a vague memory, but i do remember something about a gold one with a certain game, to cellebrate the launch. As for the D-pad being different?, it's the same as one of my British released ones The gold one you can see has been openned, as screw damage below d-pad from wrong size screw or over tightening visable.. Maybe openned to spray?????.. who knows for sure, and i agree $100 dollors alot. But... it has sold, so some berk, fell for it. Good luck to free enterprise, and let buyer beware.

hi there, I am in the UK, and the problem you have is caused by the television channel, CHANNEL 5. It broadcasts between channel 33-36 and such it is a stronger frequency and so disrupts video games in he UK. When channel 5 was launched they did advertise that you could have your equipment adjusted. What you need to do, as in the UK we dont have the channel select switch, is to open the Atari up and adjust the pot on the RF modulator. (usually on the side of it. I am not sure exactly on a Woody as been years since openned one, but sure others on here can advise how. Anyway, just adjust it up away from channel 36 until you get a clear signal, If you have a nintendo try using that as a channel fix, as they were adjusted to channel 37 and give clear reception. Tune nintendo in, and then put atari in one that channel, and adjust the pot till picture comes clear. Hope this helps, as i had simular problem a while back.

hi all, londoner in UK here, a/v comp mod-ed my 4 port system, want to use the remove rf switchbox mod, but dont know wot an inductor is?????? told need a 2amp high voltage inductor, but we dont have a componant called that in UK.??? wot else is it known as, and wot does it do??????

hi all, i'm in uk and recently returned from us, where i got a 4 port 5200. i need to find out how to do away with the rf output and convert it to av/comp output to run thru a uk tv. i know i saw it somewhere on here not long ago, but have scanned thru all forums and cant find anywhere...HELP!!!!!!!!!! also got a 2 port that doesnt seem to have an rf output working, so will convert that too...this system is damaged,as missing back lid, and front panel above power light crack...so if anyone has a dead unit that i can swop parts, then please contact me...thanx

hi all, TV BOY is an atari 2600 clone with 126 games on them, most large titles r not on them, but u will find pacman,defender and space invaders..also alot of early activision games. NES versions usually have about 10 different games, but rest r all variations of them. we can get them in uk.

can ntsc carts be used on a pal system from europe...???? you guessed it i'm in the uk, so we are stuck with pal machines.... not good normally, but at least we got sentinal....
