  1. I'm afraid my ability to print is pretty limited. All I have is a cheap combo scanner printer all-in-one from Dell and have never actually used it for anything high quality. Definitely can't do double-side prints. Wiould an outfit like Kinko's even duplicate copyrighted material? Probably not. I would think I could scan it onto a DVD or something like that.
  2. I have been looking for scans for a few of the issues I am missing to no avail. I have the Mar '82 and Jul '82 and all subsequent Issues but am missing Issue #1 and whatever issues are between Mar & Jul '82. (I don't know exactly when they went from bi-monthly to monthly). Anyone willing to scan issue #1? I would be willing to provide scans for other issues in trade.
  3. These are going to be $40 plus shipping. More expensive than previously, but my costs have gone up and they are time consuming to build and test. This will likely be the last batch. We'll make several hundred of them, but after that unless we completely redesign them, it's unlikely we'll see more. ..Al Please place me on the waiting list.
  4. I was closing in on you. I think you are safe though. My fire button is starting to act up, making the mutant missions kinda hard. Otherwise I think I may be able to get a little higher at least. I really do need to invest in some decent controllers.
  5. edit: 116,100 Edit: Found a good free program called PhotoRazor that lets you resize images. I think the resolution from my camera was set too high to upload.
  6. I am new to this and was waiting for a new season to jump in. I never was very good at Defender in the arcades and had never really played it before on the 2600 until now. I am just now starting to get the hang of it. So far my best score is: Edit: 83,400 Getting better I am not sure how to post a picture to this forum. Do I need a web host site? The Upload button below seems to hang and never complete when I try to upload from my harddrive. Edit; file is <2MB. Seems to be an IE error. The progress bar starts but then IE aborts with error "Access is denied" at line 2. After the error, the Uploading spinning graphic still continues, but nothing ever loads. I'll try a hard reset later. For some reason .jpg extensions will not upload. I changed the ext to .txt to load it. Defender_HSC.txt Edit: Seems other jpg files upload fine. Just the ones taken from my camera do not. Can anyone suggest any "Free" editting tools/file converters can I use to get around this?
  7. llusion of Gaia is also pretty good. Oh and Lost Vikings, King Arthur's World and Ogre Battle (if you enjoy puzzle games).
  8. Soul Blazer and Brainlord. Both excellent games I totally forgot about. I also enjoyed Blackthorne quite a bit. Forgot about that one as well and didn't see it mentioned in the "plug it in just for the music" thread. Qualifies there as well.
  9. Thanks for the tips. I'ts actually been quite awhile since I've even searched for O2 stuff. I have an original boxed system & collection from my youth. Smithereens is one game that I fondly remember playing at a friends when the voice module first came out. Turtles is another one I could never locate back when I was trying to fill in my collection. The only others games I am missing are education titles that I would probably never play anyway: Keyboard Creations, S.I.D. the Spellbinder, Nimble Numbers Ned, Pachinko, and I've Got Your Number. I do have a mint boxed Killer Bees however, which I believe is pretty rare. I always thought the O2 controllers were the best of these early systems and lasted a very long time through heavy play. I don't understand why one would want to play an O2 with an NES or Genesis gamepad?
  10. I don't think Smithereeens is common. Got a copy to spare?
  11. Mischief Makers Space Station Silicon Valley Top Gear Rally Rocket - Robot on Wheel Ogre Battle 64 WinBack - Covert Operations And my personal favorite: Shadowman (awesome game)
  12. The original silver O2 controllers do not have the star pattern you refer to.
  13. SubRoc for Colecovision. I think it was when you paused.

There is an old thread somewhere on here: http://www.galeon.com/mousetopad/mousetopad.html
  15. Must be a Java problem. Make sure Jstella is working on your computer. Is there a guide to get jstella working? I downloaded it from sourceforge but can find no executable to install. Where do you put these files so they work?
  16. It's the same with all cartridges. The electronic tuning may not be locking onto the channel. I have the same problem. If you turn on the Atari, then quickly change the channel up or down one channel and then back, the autotune should lock on the signal.
  17. I want that special rf switch to make my 5200 play atari 2600 games. anyone know where I can find one. Not what I would call an RF switch but: Item
  18. I've just started building a collection for the 2600 and have gotten four joysticks from three different sources and all have the same problem. One or more of the wires is non-conducting. The cords do not seem crimped or anything like that. How common of a problem is it for the cords to go? On three of them it is the black ground wire that is bad so none of the functions work. On the fourth it is the green "left" wire. When you "touch" it to ground it still doesn't work so the circuit board is not the problem. Any one had success operating on a cord? Almost have to hacksaw the end connector apart to get to the pins.
