  1. Hi, Thanks Curt! Where am I looking on the board? Which part?
  2. Very creative solution....I hope you can create a working prototype.
  3. Hi, I just acquired a 5200 4 Port System and it has a sticker on the bottom that says, "Reconditioned by Sears" I was wondering if this means that it has the latest MOBO that allows the VCS adapter to work. BTW - I know about the "*" in the serial number for factory ATARI systems, but does anyone know what the actual 4 port modification looks like? Thanks!
  4. OK, I just got a 5200 2 Port from Ebay. Now, I need to get that metal shielding off the units to get to the "bug" chips. It looks like they metal tabs need to be twisted to line up with the slits that they are protruding from, but the tabs keep bending unevenly. Is there a better tool than needlenose pliers? Can I just break off the tabs, or is the shielding necessary? Please let me know. I really want color! Thanks!
  5. Thanks! I'll be looking on Ebay and checking the local thrift stores. I'll let you know what happens. - VD
  6. Hi, Thanks for the information. I tried using it through my VCR tuner and then my TV tuner. It used to play on this television until about a year ago. I do recall (a few years ago) that every once in a while, it would start in black and white. I would turn the console on and off a few times and then the color would come back. I am a little bit of a greenback with the console; (assuming that I would need to change the chips) what would be involved? Thanks!
  7. Hello, It seems no matter what I try to do, I can't get the darn thing to give me color. I tried adjusting the 'pot' like control beside and to the lower left of the power light. The one beside the light helped clear up some of the image, but it is still in black and white. The yellowish control to the lower left did not seem to do anything. I tried switching the channel from 2 to 3 and visa versa with no success. I really want to get this thing working!!! Please help!!! - VD P.S. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I have a 4 port system.
