  4. I never had a cpu from the 80's it was all video game systems. I did play a c64 one time!!! What was the best cpu for atari 400 800 etc. thinking maybe the 800??? was the 400 and 800 games, compatiable with each other? what can u do on those cpu. could u write atari games on them?? LOL Can they even get hook up to the net? do they have modern memory upgrade, besides 64k, can they even handle ..lets say 1 gig if thats all possible I just bought off of evil bay a 400 motherboard, for the hell of it. 20 bucks with shipping. can the 5200 games play on the 400 cpu? since its a 400 cut down!! maybe change the cart connector on the board?? hey the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask?? right. the reason with the questions is i'm trying to learn more about these machines. and maybe in the future i would like to own one . just doing some homework. thanks corby

  8. maybe take matmania challenge, turn that one into wwf superstar from the arcade, or title match pro wrestling, into superwrestlemania from the snes just brain storming some ideas
  9. Trainer ("Boring") games are not made with challenging gameplay in mind. Rather to see what the game is like at higher levels. oh for sure! i agree with you 100 % what i want is to play this game in on real hardware. and add to the arcade games for the my 7800. thats the only reason why i'd like the cheat off, believe me i like cheats too.
  10. yup i can't hardly wait to thry it out ! now i can really enjoy my 5200 later corby

  13. hi there, this is going to sound crazy but could somebody turn off the cheat for q bert. cheat are cool and all but their is no challenge , and the game becomes boring afterwards.
  14. could be a few problems 1. the solder, might have broke and may need to be resoldered 2. my experience is sometimes the port wears out the pins, and you might need to jiggle the connection abit, usually it will work. 3. have you tried playing a game in 2 player mode, and taking turns playing on each controller 4. or maybe the mother board is not working well for that port.... hope this helps yeah
  15. hey W.C. thats fantastic, keep it up the good work
  16. just wondering, is it possible to hack star raiders, and make it into Rescue on fractalus???? since it did have the keypad controller. it would make good use of those neglected, key pads that lay around collecting dust!!! just a thought
  17. well first off, my girlfriend is getting really pissed with all the stuff i have building up in the bedroom, i have systems and boxes of games, in the middle of the room. I hardly ever play my wii, or ps2 anymore, wheni get tired of playing the 7800, i go to the 5200. tired of that i bring out the vader system, play that, or just trying find a game to hack. Scored big at the thrift store, when i get the chance, i'll post them on the thrift thread.

  20. lol this is funny how ironic, just today awhile back and finaly got the chance to look at a coleco gemini i bought awhile back , first thing was when i plugged in the power supply, that power connect was loose. so i took it apart and of course the solder was cracked. I'm not a big soldering fan, but it doesn't take long how to do it. so I added more solder to it and sure enough, went and tried it worked perfectly.
  21. thAT 7800 U POSTED A PIC OF IS A PAL MAchine it will say PAL on the bottom on the serial sticker. I know i have one but i stitch the motherboard with a ntsc board. the 7800 is on the right side of the silver strip, ntsc has the 7800 prosytem written on the left side. But since your from Newzeland then 7800 and 2600 are pal machine. And your version will not have the expansion port, or the cut for that matter. but those cool nes type controllers those a great.
