Has CV He-Man: Masters of the Universe been dumped yet?
wberdan replied to Zaxxon's topic in Classic Console Discussion
i believe sean kelly has a back up copy, but is unable to duplicate or dump the rom due to copyright issues / agreements with mattel / blue sky ranger dont hold your breath for it- the BSR told me that they will not release it because of ridiculous copyright issues with mattel willie -
yeah but when they stacked it they intended it as one word. just kidding, willie

certain cables can cause this problem as well- try a few different style RCA cables coming out of the CV. Some simply will not work properly. Then get rid of the switchbox and buy an RCA to Cable adaptor (also known as a Female RCA to Male F Connection). problem should be solved. if not, then try a different power supply if you have a friend handy with a CV. the power supplys can crap out and cause similar problems before they fully die. I would try all those things, in that order- before I opened up a CV to try and clean anything. willie

my video life is new in the box, so put a (B) next to it when you get a chance thanks willie

eh- nothing i don't already own. definetely a great item! one to hold onto for a while! it's high on "drool factor" for atari fans! congrats! willie

for what it's worth- that is the most enjoyable game that i have played in the past decade. my only complaint would be that it is too short... but it does have an option so you can play unique 'environments' by placing your own CD's in the drive. willie

a complete adam computer usually costs 75 to 125 shipped. that multicart you have usually runs about $ 80 or so... the all in one multicart has gone for crazy prices before.. i thought that was the one you had at first willie

Was there ever a 8-bit computer cord to output RGB?
wberdan replied to wberdan's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
yeah, and RGB is better still. i figured that there must be a cable you can buy to output RGB though, since the atari 800XL (what I use) has this funky 8 or so pin connector on the back that fans out to composite and mono. -
I was just curious about that... was the composite video out the best it gets for the Atari 8 bit computers, or is there an even higher quality video connection available? willie

does anyone know if this seller is for real? willie

What game is that? Porky's willie

I actually agree with you, it's my firm believe that Xante carts are nothing but prototypes of released games, maybe worth $100.00 but not more. At least to me that is. this doesnt have anything to do with the 2600, but i have a colecovision xante cartridge that is of a game that was never released. so, xante did pull off at least one true 'proto'. willie

wow- deja vu! i posted this same topic on a different message board about a year and a half ago... i can tell you this- it is not defective! mine did the SAME thing- exactly! it works fine on some televisions and then not on others... dont know why- it just does. willie

Hi! I'm looking for most any Atari prototype hardware... controllers, units, weird stuff.. anything. I'm just looking for some stuff to add to the collection that is unique and cool. I'd be interested in ANY other ntsc systems with weird (Proto) hardware, controllers, consoles- anything. contact me by email or PM I have a boxed AdventureVision that I could possibly put up as part trade- plus/or cash. thanks for lookin'! references available! willie wberdan@gwi.net

yeah i have that- the cool thing is, it is a disk for either the C-64 or Atari 8-Bit i think the atari 8 bit version is exactly the same as the 5200 version... I would recommend the colecovision version for playing, unless you have the 8bit computer and a way to get a copy of that disk. the 5200 controllers suck the fun out of the game willie

Atari 5200 vs. Colecovision vs. Intellivision
wberdan replied to Mind Master's topic in Classic Console Discussion
the intellivison is a joke compared to the 5200 or cv... the controllers are as bad as the 5200 in my opinion.. and the games are generally crap. the 2600 kicks its ass. the colecovision has a better variety of software, with more homebrew games, and it also has the driving and computer module- so all in all i would put it above the 5200. the 5200 has some great arcade games, and some games that the coleco just cant equal... but if you want the most bang for the buck, then i think the colecovision wins out willie -
as far as pricing- that is an incredible example of a game that could fluctuate wildly in value... depending on who wants it and when, i could see that cartridge fall in the $ 2,000 - $ 4,000 range that was an insane aquisition rick- amazing willie

I know this is really off topic, but several people here may be going to the phillyclassic, and this may be important to them. We JUST got a phone call today telling us that we were being moved from the Raddison (home of philly4) to the Sheraton a mile away- apparently they are moving a lot of the Philly4 people to that hotel ( i know of at least 2 others that have been moved so far). We reserved this hotel over a month ago, so anyone else that reserved there... you might want to check to see if they are sticking it to you too. They left us a message on the answering machine today. They said they had a computer malfunction that allowed people to keep booking long after they were full. that must have been a hell of a malfunction since we reserved over a month ago. yeah right. i'm sure that what the real problem is, is that other people that *will* pay the regular rate are getting our rooms, and we're getting shipped to a hotel thats a mile away for $89 a night. big deal. we paid 20$ a night less last year for a hotel the same distance away. If you reserved at the Radisson you may want to check this out real quick- otherwise you may be paying for taxi fares (not to mention time delays) to the hotel and back that you didnt plan for. willie

so why ask for games here if the best deals can be found at game exchange? w

How Come my dad enjoyed the VCS originally but not now?
wberdan replied to A2600's topic in Atari 2600
he's sick of that crappy 2600 willie -
like i said, i feel those prices are fairly low.. colecovision games arnt exactly easy to find in the wild any more, and not many people are going to sell those particular titles under that price unless there is some form of label damage. willie
-
if i had to put a dollar value on it i would say $ 40, although i am a cheapskate, so some people might pay more willie
-
dp price is: burgertime: $8 pitstop: $ 10 q*bert: $5 i would consider those prices to be on the low side... burgertime actually will usually price higher than $ 8 take care willie
-
i have burgertime, pitstop and q*bert, all looking for homes... i also have a lot of really fun (and some very rare) games i was looking for just below DP value for those three games, qbert has instructions... let me know before hte end of the month, im going to try and sell them all in philly willie
-
wow thats nuts... i bought a sealed CC at phillyclassic2 for $200 and had absolutely no bidding competition.... but then again, a quadrun couldnt even sell for $200 at that auction.. guess i shoulda held onto that ha willie
