  1. i managed to hit 186,00 from 0 before... that was also the same time period where i would close my eyes at night and tetris would still be playing in my brain!! ive heard this happen to one other person, so i know im not the only crazy. also, i thought people had managed scores into the millions on this one.... huh. willie
  2. almost all non-US colecovision consoles work in the US. the most common problem is the switchbox being picky ( which you may have) and the power supply crapping out. willie
  3. video life, eli's ladder, planet of the apes willie
  4. basement made. from what i understand, you can adapt a vectrex to most any television.... it uses a typical tv monitor. although, one thing that has been bothering me lately about that- since the vectrex monitor seems to be close to a 16:9 ratio standing upright (9:16, i guess you would call it), and a regular US tv screen has a ratio of 4:3..... how the hell is that going to work without seriously distorting the games image>? willie
  5. this sounds like a really cool adaptor... now all we need is a really great arcade Playstation joystick (are there any that support the analog modes?>).... that would be mind blowing! i'll prob be picking up a couple for me and the girlfriend! willie
  6. i personally won't be dumping this cartridge, and it will probably only be in my possesion a day. i am sure though, that the future owner will be dumping for the community. of course, i have been known to change my mind and hold onto things... in which case i would dump it. willie
  7. im really looking to play this cart... i dont do emulators, so its really a problem thats been buggin me for quite a while now... im looking for the 5200 or the 400/800 version.... actually, i prefer the computer version- if you have it boxed, even better-! i'll pay quite well- so please get in touch willie wberdan@gwi.net
  8. according to legend, some idiot dropped $ 6,500 for a gold nes world champ cart.. that would have to be the most anyone has paid (i hope!). willie
  9. Tempest- i know... im kicking myself in the ass, cause i sold a LOT of rare 2600 shit that i know you woulda liked... (qubes, sealed berenstain, rubiks cube compelte..) ill dig something up for you/... the only midrange thing i have right now is an intellivision MTE201 test cartridge. email me a photo again if you can.. i lost my hard drive since the last time you emailed me one.. willie
  10. thanks for the offer- i already have one shrinkwrapped though.... definetetely a good item though! i know that this is a post that only pertains to about 5 to 10 people (maybe more).... but i figured id try anyway... you never know, right maybe some people will dig some neat things up to grab this eli's- keep an eye out! willie
  11. hi- i have an eli's ladder for the 2600 that i want to trade for colecovision stuff... im looking for interesting prototypes, mock ups, or anything else that is extremely hard to come by....unreleased stuff gets top priority. eli's of course is probably one of the 4 rarest released games for the 2600 and possibly top 3. definetely a big time 2600 item. let me know! pictures (and references) available upon request- willie wberdan@gwi.net
  12. i would estimate between three and four hundreed dollars.... even during a slump on ebay you could probably get at least 225-275 for it willie
  13. i think it is a pretty safe bet that people will still be collecting games in 15 years... of course i think multicarts and emulators have kind of made things a little easier for the hardcore nuts. unless i kick the bucket ill be collecting this stuff in 15 years willie
  14. i dont think 500 for a very rare video game is completely unrealistic. if you dont understand why people shell out big bucks for games, then i guess you dont understand what makes some people hardcore collectors. some people just need the game to complete their collections, some are just looking for an investment or videogame status symbol. when you have those three groups of nuts fighting over the rarest games then prices are bound to go absolutely crazy. just wait until more and more people start collecting and less and less of these quadruns, river patrols, and rarer games start drying up even on eBay... then you'll REALLY shit at the prices. i really wouldnt be surprised if quadrun is a $ 2,000 game in 15 or 20 years. the demand will eventually SERIOUSLY outweigh the supply. willie
  15. im getting my copy tommorow when my girlfriend comes back from vegas... ifrom what i saw when i was updating the colecovision section- there is going to be a ton of changes. everything in this one will be much more accurate system to system- and the atari "price guide" is much more accurate than it was even in the last book. its an a+ effort for sure. willie
