    Why bother putting an eBay listing for Make an Offer if it turns down all the offers?

      Ebay has been turning on offers WITHOUT sellers permission after a couple weeks without a sale. You can turn it back off (once you realize it's on!) but some sellers may not realize that and adjust the offer to the same as the original value. Also, GoldLeader's theory is quite correct... sellers will definitely do that and there's nothing wrong with it.

    It seems that 2600's really don't like having their chips reseated. Just FUBARed two of 'em by accident. I'm really not a happy camper right now.

    It still amazes me that somehow I never knew the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 even existed up until a couple years ago, and I grew up during the 16-bit era. I've never played one before but I'd sure like to some day.

    Told my step-daughter the PSX Classic was $59 at Gamestop since I knew her boyfriend was interested. I came home this morning and I had a paid order ready for pick-up tonight in my name. Early birthday present! I love my family. :) (Yes it will promptly be modded.)

    If there is one thing that I really appreciate; DC and Warner aren't making a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie. Seriously, even if they had Marv Wolfman back, that event comic just can't be adapted into a feature film.

      Congratulations on acquiring the king of retro computers! Some great and reasonably priced carts would include Miner 2049er, River Rescue, Jumpman Jr., Caverns of Mars, and E.T.

    Opinions: Should AA start giving out patches for homebrew games like Activision did in the 80s, and/or make reproduction patches? I really want an Enduro patch but its 129$ on eBay.

    Had to decline a counteroffer on eBay. It was only $2 less than the original asking price. Why bother making it almost exactly the same price? $40.10 vs. 38.10. Really?

      Ebay is REALLY pushing hard to have sellers accept offers. You really have to work to keep them off your listings if you don't want them, so it's not surprising that some sellers aren't really accepting offers even though it looks like they are to buyers.

      So sorry to hear it... hope things get better really soon! As for comedy, I personally laugh a lot harder at the dozens of stand-up comic specials that Netflix has than any scripted series.

      Another vote for PS1/N64 to Dreamcast/PS2. That generational jump was really special. Since then, there's been improvements to be sure, but nothing super impressive.

    Finally got around to watching The Last Jedi this morning and thought it was wonderful. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan or anything but it was pretty much everything I could have wanted it to be. Definitely looking forward to the next installment! =)

    Finally got around to watching The Last Jedi this morning and thought it was wonderful. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan or anything but it was pretty much everything I could have wanted it to be. Definitely looking forward to the next installment! =)

      I am a huge Star Wars fan and thoroughly enjoyed the Last Jedi! I can also see why other people didn't like it though. It happens... I didn't especially care for The Force Awakens

      What Flojomoja said. It was (just) barely adequate as a first cheap computer when I was 11. No color, no sound, 2K of memory, crummy membrane keyboard.... not even nostalgia is enough for me to want one again!

    After watching the Last Jedi over the weekend I'm pretty sure I lost interest in the Star Wars franchise.

      Another pro-TLJ vote here, but BydoEmpire is 100% right... none of these sequels can be as thrilling as the original trilogy, at least for us geezers. Still down for enjoying Solo, IX, and the dozens of other sequels, prequels, and side stories Disney will be churning out for the rest of our lives.

      The games or the hardware? The cart slot DOES suck, but there are ways to fix that. As fpr the games, I find it hard to imagine that any classic gamer can't find SOMETHING to love in its enormous library. I don't love its hard-as-nails platformers very much either, but there's lots of shooters and classic arcade games that I find very cool indeed.
