Centipede is my favorite arcade game, without a doubt. I think the 5200 port is really great, especially when combined with the trak-ball.
Some folks like Millipede, but I think Centipede is the better game.
Welcome aboard! I also like the Centipede 5200 port, but I’m a bit mystified as to why they made it so difficult, even on “Easy” mode.

Welcome to the fourth round of the 17th 5200 HSC season. Centipede tied with Rescue on Fractalus in the poll, but won the resulting coin toss. Play using the Easy setting. (The spider is really awful at Medium, and ultra-murderous at Hard.) Emulation is fine, as are custom controls. Pics preferred, but not required except for HSC wins and records.
The high score was set by phuzaxeman with 125,795 points. Beat this if you can for a bonus point!

Also not all the controllers play the same way, to many variables between controllers, (some play better than others) but if you select the right variables and put together a controller with them, you will have a cx52 controller that will play hero with extreme precision.
That's really interesting! I've been trying to play with the cx52 for the HSC without much luck, but you can't argue with the kind of enormous success you've achieved! Guess I need to either practice more with the cx52, or just accept the -1 penalty and use the Wico instead.

I had a 400,000 something level 5 game and when it was over the stupid thing restarted so I couldn't get a picture of it, CRAP and a few other words. I didn't think I touched the button but i guess i must have. oh well.
I’m sure that it’s frustrating that you couldn’t show off your achievement (400,000 is an amazing score!) but at least it didn’t affect your standing.
