This “Original Equipment only” season typically runs Jan-Dec, but we might be on the verge of starting a new standard season (emulators and any controllers allowed.) Feel free to vote in this poll for a quick return to 5200 HSC action… I’m encouraged to hear someone new wanting to play!

Participation was down a good bit in HSC Season 15, particularly toward then end. As such, here's a poll to gauge interest in starting up a new season. Besides the poll, please feel free to make posts expanding on your thoughts about 5200 HSC Season 16.

River Raid was ported to the 400/800 by Carol Shaw herself, so I think that had a lot to do with it being such a superior port. (I'm not sure if she did the 400/800 to 5200 conversion, but that was a much smaller programming job by comparison, of course.) Clearly, she was willing to build on her 2600 work and make a great game even better. Most of the other porters were probably much more reluctant to change much about another programmer's design.
