I work for roofing supplier. We have customers coming to the store telling me "but I saw it in your yard". Yes, but someone already bought it and it's just there waiting to be delivered. I can't sell the same thing twice. 

"Out of Stock" means "Out of stock;" saying otherwise just'll make customers feel more entitled, & more likely to yell if they don't get their way.

Most people are nice, but the few that aren't reeeeealy drag things down & make ya feel bad. :(

The younger set,  all too used to modern convenience seem to have the most trouble with:  Words, Sentences, and their Actual meanings...Though sometimes they're just being hopeful.
