  1. You're a lucky man! I really want a Supercharger. But they always go for more money then I have at the time. And I still need to mod a NES controller to work on my Atari 7800. I think that would be even better then the Euro 7800 controllers due to not having so much space between the buttons. And that would be way awesome to have S-video! Lucky now!...but over 10 years of pulling out hair has mad me very Evil and bald. HAHA yeah I know what you mean. I have only been looking for one for a short amount of time(like a year)but in that time the only place that I can ever find any is eBay and it has been very frustrating trying to get one.
  2. Thanks! My goal was to make it so everything is accessible. This is the only arrangement I could think of where console, games, and the TV are all within reach from one spot. Now I just need a mini-fridge because the only thing missing from that equation is homebrewed beer! Well I have the mini fridge going on. But I can only wish that it had beer in it lol.
  3. I show what I get on youtube once every now and then. I usually get my games cheaper than most people(aka free). Here is my latest video where I show what I have recently picked up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sAMF-BZ2eE *sorry I couldn't get the BB code to work.
  4. Eh, he is a seller not a gamer. World of difference lol. Or he might have a speech impediment. Either way I am not going to judge him. I subbed to his channel so I can see what all he has for sale.
  5. Yes you can. Regardless of what other people are saying they are in fact region locked. Here is a video to prove it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9FukrqTUqs Also, watch his other video he talks about. Moonwalker is in the video I linked. I hope that helps some what.
  6. Awesome. Go Google how to hook up the console you program for to a TV lol.
  7. Yeah well I don't want any flame war. I just want answers. And that GroovyBee has found it in his better interest to try and insult my intelligence with his assumptions. He seems to be a pretty established member here and I find it to be an insult to this community that he would be allowed to act the way he is to me. Does he think he is funny? Because really I am not laughing. I apologize for losing my cool but I think if he has nothing to say in regards to the subject they he should simply not post. Dude, take it easy. There are so many noobs that show up and ask questions it gets tiring frequently answering similar questions. If you just make the people mad who are trying to help, pretty soon you'll just get ignored. Getting back to your original question; make I ask, if you already have the NTSC version of Pole Position why do you want to play the PAL one? There are not any differences in the game. It's going to be a lot of work to swap the BIOS just so you can play a glitchy version of the same game. Mitch Thanks Mitch. I appreciate your help. But like I said before it really has nothing to do with playing my PAL version of Pole Position 2. It has to do with playing all PAL games. And I know they might be a little glitchy, but it is just what I want to do. I think it would make a cool youtube video. And I enjoy modding consoles. And I would like to pick up PAL versions of games as well. I review games on a few websites as well as do my best to help others. So when I learn something new I pass on the knowledge. But yeah I understand about noobs coming to the board and it must get really annoying.
  8. Ok and where is my apology? Or should I just assume that you really are an Atari 7800 programmer but for some reason made a topic asking how to hook a American console to a PAL TV? Really man, you seem to be a piss poor programmer if you can't even figure out how to hook up the console you are programming for! You are a silly man. And I have plenty of help on youtube. Really man, you are a disgrace. Has it ever crossed you mind that I came here wanting answers from nice people that share my interests and not some one just telling me to GOOGLE IT? What did you hope to achieve by giving an answer like that? I never said you were here for anything because unlike you I don't make such outlandish assumptions. I was just in hope that some one that knows what they are talking and is a nice person would help. That is all. I really hope you don't act this pompous in real life. If so you need a swift kick in the ass.

  10. Ok dude. You are a fucking asshole. Really man what are you 12 years old? I would think older people that are playing the 7800 would be more mature. Apparently not. I wanted advise from the experts. Not some asshat like you. Really man, you make the whole Atari scene look bad. Yeah bud I am going to Google the bios on to the chip like magic. Thanks a lot asshole.
  11. I gave no attitude. You don't know me man. I don't like silly assumptions. And right now that is what you and the other dude are doing. Making assumptions and giving obvious options that I could have easily figured for myself(like just buying the NTSC version of Pole Position 2). As far as you know I could be a game programmer or have years of electronics experience(which I do). So instead of talking to me like I am some complete noob you could just tell me what I need in order to achieve this mod. If not, then please do not reply. I don't know if you are just trying to keep your post count up or what but I came here with a question that I hoped to be answered by someone that really knows what they are talking about. No tip toeing around. Just the answer I need and that is it. Maybe if you could have just waited for my video you could have just known what to say or just not have posted anything at all. But for some reason you insisted on posting right away. Like I told the other dude, thank you for whatever information you have given me so far.
  12. Ok at this point I think you are kinda missing the point of this mod. I have both the pal and ntsc version of Pole Position 2. It's not about just playing that one game. It is about playing ALL pal games. If you can not tell me how to obtain the chip with the bios you suggested then I guess there is really nothing more you can suggest. I thank you for the information but I am still in need of more info.
  13. Cool well I guess I don't need to upload the video I made then lol. So where can this "universal Asteroids BIOS" be obtained? And will the games still have display issues when displayed on a monitor that can properly do both 50 and 60hz? You can get the BIOS here. The display issues are caused by the 7800 not the display. You could buy a PAL 7800 and it would display correctly on your multi-system monitor. Mitch Ok that is just a file. I have no way to put that on a chip. I was more so hoping you could help me find a chip with the bios you are talking about on it already. Damn, this is all so much easier on a Sega Genesis. Yeah I could buy an euro A7800 but......eh lol.

  16. Cool so can you suggest a mod for the 7800 to play these games then? I am making the video right now just so we can be sure we are on the same page.
  17. Not a dumb question at all. Yes they do work on that TV. It is a multi-sync tv. It supports Pal and NTSC. I might do a short video and post it here so you all can see what exactly I am doing. In fact, I will do that right now.
  18. NOW THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE! Much love for your Intellivision collection! Really really really impressive. There is dudes on this forum that have awesome collections but I would take yours over theirs for sure. Way way cool!
  19. Very nice. I still have some Black Sabbath 8 tracks sitting around that I refuse to part with.
  20. So far out of all the collections on this forum I think I like the way you have organized yours the most. There is a lot there but it is so well organized that you still have a lot of space. Very cool.
  21. Cool but do you have non-sealed copies as well? I mean don't you play games?
  22. A nice small collection there. Mine is about the same size. But I do have more consoles.
  23. It's actually Mothra. My carts are HUUUUGGGEE ! LOL! Awesome collection man! I love the Galaga machine.
  24. Wow there is a lot of games there I have honestly never seen before. Very awesome.
