  1. Regarding the Pitfall II cartridge... Are Pitfall II cartridges notorious for being a little "iffy"? Because I have two Activision cartridges which take a little effort to get them to work, (like flipping on and off the console a few times). Could the iffy nature of the cartridge be a result of the build of the game? Doesn't it have an extra chip or something of that nature?
  2. Ennngh.... I've been looking everywhere for a copy of Montezuma's Revenge, seems like one of the better adventure games for the 2600. I also recently bought a copy of Pitfall II and turns out it doesn't work. Oh well.
  3. I have a problem with my Atari It recently just flickers when I turn it on and nothing happens. I have everything hooked up correctly and I'm using one of those cable adapters which are tons better than my old RF switch. I'm thinking it may be my AC adapter because its the old atari gray style and I'm thinking it may just be old and worn out. Any ideas on what may be wrong?

I have tryed all the diffrent channels and they all don't work. Should the atari make a noise or light up or somthing? I have a Sears Tele-Games 6 switch atari 2600. And I have the origanil RF switch and ac adapter (has atari symbol on it)

Thanks a lot for your help, but I'm still confused... I'll tell you how I hooked up mine... -First I got an old (1978) tv and plugged it in as usual, and turned it to channel 3. -Then I attached the little tong things from the RF switch to the screws on the tv. And I set the switch to "game" -Then I plugged the power from the Atari into the wall. -I also unplugged the antenna from the tv. -I put a cartridge in the game slot and hooked up a joystick. -Then I turned on the Atari and nothing changes on the screen and the atari doesnt make a noise or do anything at all! And also could you expain that cord thing a little more?
