  1. Is that an RGB monitor? Just curious, I need several RGB monitors for my Jaguar collection and don't have a clue where to begin looking. Saturn
  2. Ahhhh, like a dream come true.... Jason I'll 2nd that! Saturn

I don't use the homing missiles that often where I want to switch to them rapidly. I tend to save them for as long as possible because they absolutely RULE at taking out those pesky pilots later in the levels when they are bobbing and weaving in and out all the time. Man they are hard to hit with lasers! Agreed. Those pilots are difficult to destroy... especially if your a little too close. Becomes impossible to get a bead on them with the repeated shots they fire. I tend to stay just out of their firing range and pick them off with my lasers. A little unfair to them, but AAtE on Minter difficulty with no allies is seriously challenging! I can't afford to use my Homing Missles on the pilots since they're lasers do less damage to me and my dwindling number of starbases. I think docking for supplies reduces your score at the end so I try to save missles for the more destructive races! There's nothing like realizing your almost out of missles after warping to a new sector and hearing that Developer Race theme and knowing the end is near.
  4. Yes, Tempest 2000 is very addictive, IMHO. And I must say, I was fortunate enough to score one of Jedi Jeff's last five rotary controllers on ebay. This controller vastly improved my high score and gives the speed and accuracy to take take the experience to new heights! I haven't been able to snag one of Tyrant's controller versions yet, but they're announced as soon as they become available. Just keep checking the forum for an update. Primal Rage, for me, was one of the most difficult to obtain. It took weeks of watching ebay and when it finally appeared, I jumped on it! The bidding didn't go over $50.00 if memory serves. Good luck in your quest and welcome! Saturn

The extra fire buttons make BS play so much easier. I especially like the ability to select weapons with the buttons and also the shoulder buttons for rolling! Agreed. I especially like the convenience of being able to immediately reduce or increase my speed to one quarter power w/ the left shoulder button. Also, the Y button for choosing Homing Missles in a hurry. This is more a necessity when it's you against a convoy of incoming Sebab or Intruders.
  6. Nice collection Saturn! I wish I had 4 copies of BS, especially with the Scatbox release! Jason Thanks. I actually obtained both copies of the classic version within about an hour of each other. Think it was February 2002. I had the high bid on one when another was put on ebay w/ a modest Buy It Now. Saturn
  7. Yes, I kind of figured how it looked. Just didn't want to miss any details that might have remained hidden. I'll be watching for that close-up. I thought about detailing mine, but haven't had time. That's why I was so intrigued by yours! I'll get it done one day, though.
  8. That's AMAZING! Do you have a full pic of the Jedi Jeff rotary controller? Looks interesting, I'd like to see it all! Saturn

  10. Like Punisher, my Scatboxes arrived Monday. (Thanks for the super fast shipping, Thunderbird!) I Finally found time to open them last night and I was floored. This is genius!! The most creative and attractive pieces of hardware I've ever seen! I'm holding one Classic Model and one Deluxe Model (and typing) and they are truly a sight to behold! I'm still trying to absorb the initial shock of how incredible these devices are! If you have a copy of Battle Sphere Gold, wait till you lay eyes on the Deluxe Model! A month ago we had no alternatives for networking more than two Jaguars, except that fifteen lb. POS Catbox that showed up on ebay once in a blue moon, and then Derek Else came out with the AWESOME Jaglink 2 and cured that problem for us and now ScatoLOGIC has outdone themselves again with another very high quality product to add to their evergrowing list, that has reduced my two Catboxes to really expensive mantle ornaments. These Scatboxes work like a dream! I saw a lot of flaming on JI2 about price and such, but the quality and professionalism that has been mastered into these Scatboxes is unsurpassed! They are well worth every penny I've paid for them and I'll soon be ordering more! Thank you again, Thunderbird, for these incredible accessories!!! SIDENOTE: I missed several days of work last year when my copies of Battle Sphere Gold arrived and I'm happy to announce that tomorrow will be the first of many days I'll miss this year! Keep them coming, Thunderbird -just don't let me get fired! Saturn

    Dec. 1986

I moved out of Ft. Lauderale, Fl in December 1986 and this was the last time I'd seen or played my beloved 2600. The last game I'd played had something to do with killing Dracula at the end. Can someone help me with the name of this game?? Thanks, Saturn
  13. I really like this game! In the beginning before I was shown the links to the maps, I'd always get lost in the air ducts and end up starting over. Now, it's a whole new game for me. I haven't beaten it with any species yet, but I'm in no hurry 'cause I have that to look forward to still. Congrats on your ebay score! Saturn
  14. Good call. I missed your previous auction so I'm glad that wasn't the last one you made! I'm going in...
  15. Thank you for the links Atari Smeghead. The game is on it's way. Saturn
  16. Hello, again. Can anyone tell me where to find a complete version of this game. I was outbid Sunday for a copy on ebay and the only other one I've seen there was a few weeks ago, I believe with the Jaguar and 63 games auction. I'm trying to complete my collection and this game is very hard to obtain. I found one dealer but they want $121.00 for it. If anyone has a copy they can part with, don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Saturn
  17. Hello everyone! The other night I was playing Gauntlet in Battle Sphere Gold when I stumbled across a new code. It's called "Run The Gauntlet" and is triggered in wave 200 . It's digits are:728264779355-satan is swell. Entering this code allows you to access any wave in Gauntlet. This game ROCKS!! Saturn
