  1. 114,150 Not much of an improvement, but its better than nothing. Those red spiders really do you in!!!!
  2. I meant what does nackered mean. But thanks for the clarification of your name.
  3. Wow! Great Score! I get to around the 100K range, and then its a matter of staying alive. I can't seem to eclipse the 110K score I posted earlier. I'll be virtually flawless until the century mark, and then. . . DISASTER!!! Gotta Keep Practicing!!!!!
  4. I hate it when the TV is nackered. I agree theretrodogg. . . what does this mean? I've never heard this term before. Sounds like something I need to use on a daily basis.
  5. 110,000 A nice round number. (I'll never be able to do that again!) I've always liked this game as it is virtually a reverse Kaboom!, and Kaboom! is one of my all-time fav's. I often wondered how this game would work with paddles. . . hmmm. . . THOSE DAMN RED BUGS KILL ME!!!!!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!
  6. Here's a screenshot from an emulator for an example. the score shows up right before the next event. It appears right next to your name.
  7. Uh. . . no. I am talking about Track & Field. At the top center of the screen, you accumulate a score. It may only show up between events, but it is definitely there. I'm surprised you haven't noticed this. BTW. . . I score about 10,600 on Decathlon
  8. Not sure of individual scores of the top of my head, but I can score around the 80K range as far as a final. I don't think I kept individual records for this game, but I'll check when I get home. Great game though!!!! Do you play it with the Track & Field controller, as well?
  9. This game is one of my favorites!!! I can't wait to get home and get a few games in!!
  10. 16,810 Well, it doesn't loook like I'll reach that 20K mark I had hoped to. I keep getting in the 16K range, and absolutely falling apart. This is probably my final submission, but I'll keep hope alive! BTW. . . where the heck are everyone else's submissions!?!?!?!?
  11. Quite impressive! I do have a question, though. If the point values don't increase (which I'm assuming they don't,) it must take forever to amass a score like this!?!?!? The most points you can score at a given time is 1,000 (retrieveing both beasties), right? . . and even that would take 400 sucessful rescues (thoeretically)!!!!!!! I'm just curious to know how long it took to achieve a score of that magnitude. . . let alone your lofty Twin Galaxies score. BTW . . . any tips
  12. Holy Crud!!!! Another magnificent score from keilbaca, and Todd's score is. . . well. . . mindblowing!!! I played a little more last night, and broke the 15K barrier (I left my scorebook at home, so I'l have to post the exact score tomorrow ) Thanks for the info about the speed maxing out, I'll just have to get into a groove. At least I know it doesn't get any faster. . . WHEW!!!
  13. 13640 No pics this week becuase I'm playing on my home console. I tried to take a picture with my camera phone, but got nothing but glare. I don't expect any ridiculous high scores from me on this title though, so it shouldn't matter. If I break 20K by the week, I'll be impressed. When does the speed of the meteors max out? I'm getting to the 10K plateau, and it seems like you have to just go on instinct. I didn't think my reaction time was THAT poor!!!! Or is there a pattern I should know about? Tough title. . . I'm already in awe of keilbaca's first submission. [/b]
  14. COOL!!!!! A game I can play on my actual console!!!! wooHOOO!!!!
  15. Well. . . here's my final submission. I wish I could play it more but I don't have means to play off an emulator at home. Maybe if I get my cartridge Saturday I'll get a few games in on the console. Once again. . . GREAT CHOICE!!!! This is a title I would have never known about had it not been for this High Score Club. 47630 Can't wait for next week's title!!! I'm glad I'm back in action!!!
  16. Also: Don't be afraid to backtrack. You don't always need to go to the fruit, or to the spaceship. It is better to go back a row, and regather your thoughts before jumping into a periloius situation. This is a lot easier said than done, as it is human nature to go towards the goal, and not move away from it. I have a hard time doing this on a regular basis, but it is quite helpful. . . and it could save you a few extra men!!!!!!
  17. In addition to the helpful tips provided my no attack, here are a few pointers I use: 1. Don't take uneccessary risks!! You don't get extra lives (as far as I can see), and the bonus for completing a level without losing a life GREATLY outweighs the time remaining bonus. YOU'LL NEED THOSE EXTRA LIVES!!! 2. I always try to "fall into line" with the enemies. I try my best to duck in right behind the last enemy in a row, and then do the same on the following row. This avoids being caught between two enemies, and having little to no room to maunuever. 3. Another technique I use is to alwyas go the same direction as the enemies. If they are going left, go left, and vice versa. This along with #2, alows me to almost get in rhythm with the enemies. 4. Be patient before you start. Some levels are REALLY tricky with the way the enemies are lined up. DON'T start until you have an absolute "game plan" for that particular level. Its better to wait it out, then to rush into it and lose a guy (or two), and the lost live bonus!!! sku_u: I'm playing mine on an emulator, so I haven't had that problem yet. I did, however, order it from AtariAge, and it was shipped yesterday. I doubt I'll be able to give you any imput before this competition is over, but I'll check mine when it arrives and let you know.
  18. Getting better every day!!!! 38500 I agree with you Blackjack, I'll be on a serious roll, and get to that one round where nothing lines up "nicely" and lose practically all my extras. I'll get close to my high score with three or four guys, and WHAMMO!!!! finish about a hundred or so points off my best. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
  19. A little bit better, but I still have a ways to go. 26370 I think I may have to get a controller of somesort, becuase playing with the keyboard is getting old. When I use an emulator, I have to play at work during downtime. I think I'll stop by Circuit City and get something tomorrow. The keyboard isn't too bad for this title, but I could foresee it being a problem in the upcoming weeks. This title is growing on me. . . I may have to make a stop at the AtariAge store
  20. Here's my first submission. Hopefully I'll get a couple days of gaming in on this title, as I've never played it before. Pretty cool game, thanks for picking it!!!! 23570
  21. Great to see you back. Looking forward to next weeks title!!!
  22. Hmmm. . . I say we give him some time to show up. If we miss a week, we miss a week. He's done such a good job so far, I don't think he should be overthrown yet. We could just extend this one until Zero returns, or just take a week off. Either way, I think we should wait it out.
  23. Space Jockey is definitely the worst game I have. I'm sure there are games that are worse (although I hope not!!!!) The first time I put it in my system was also my last. After a few minutes I was like, "Ummm. . . when does this become challenging. . . or is it like this FOREVER?????" An absolutely pointless game, that has no challenging or exciting aspects at all.
  24. Thanks for the tips Todd!!! I won't be able to use them to submit scores for this game (the submission time has expired, right?), but I'll definitely put that technique to good use.
  25. So how long until I get contacted about wearing the "JoustPong" shirt I won at PhillyClassic?!?!?! I feel so "daring" when I wear it now.
