Thanks man! Been having a blast with it. Yeah, eBay has gone nuts. I don't know what's more disturbing, the crazy priced auctions and buy it nows, or the fact there are tons of people buying them! Even if you didn't know you could get a refurb from Nintendo, you'd think people would know of Craigslist... or at the very least what the retail price is for one! I mean come on, go to any online or brick and mortar store and it clearly shows a $299 sticker. Why are these people spending $450 for a WindWaker package still freakin' in stock!?!?!? Yeah, Play Asia has been around forever. Very reputable, don't worry. The Wii U Nintendo branded batteries are now on sale for 31 plus shipping. Just bought one last night. I didn't want to spend the money, but honestly, I know it'll be put to good use. Every time I've used the Wii U this week, I've played each sitting till the battery died, so I definitely need more battery life, lol.

MK8 bundle comes with a Mario branded wii controller and a Mario branded wheel shell in addition to the game itself. So honestly, I'd say the MK8 bundle is probably worth more. Then again "worth" should come down to what you love to play. Get the bundle that makes you happy first and foremost!

Wow, thank you! I remember checking this after making my first purchase and was disappointed to see there wasn't any money in there, then never bothered to check again. Had $15 sitting in there! Now I just have to decide...Shovel Knight, or F-Zero MV and GoldenSun.

Either get it used at Craigslist or get it refurbed from Nintendo. Going to eBay or GameStop and you'll spend a freakin fortune. I agree btw. Dont go to GameStop. You'll just be throwing your money away. If you want my honest opinion though, I personally didn't much care for Nintendoland at all. Maybe find a Wii U bundle out there that comes with a different game.

They had some in stock (the official higher cap. Nintendo brand ones) at Play Asia. Was going to pick one up. I honestly can't STAND this battery life as it is. I play half an evening from a full charge and I'm greeted with a blinking red light. I love the system, but seriously, what was Nintendo thinking with this battery??? The battery is 35 bucks. Not sure if that's a good price or not. Figured it's worth it. I know i'd use it. Glad you got one. 200 isn't a bad price at all! I still can't believe how much these things are going for on eBay. The fact people are not only selling, but BUYING $450 Wind Waker LE Wii U bundles that you CAN STILL BUY AT GAMESTOP FOR $299 makes me want to scream. Not only that, but used systems go for just a Jackson or two below retail. I guess it's a good thing, as the value has stayed high. But you'd think for a used system you could do better on eBay. I ended up getting mine for 180 with MK and 3D World, so I feel like I did pretty dang well .

Personally, I'd rather have games than physical crap I don't need/would only eventually sell on eBay. Unfortunately, the games they provided I either already owned or didn't want. I feel they could have done a little better, but free is free I suppose...

I agree, the system leaves a lot to be desired. This is from someone who's had both. Are there great games to be had? Sure, of course. But they've been the same great games since the first few months of its release, outside of Persona 4 Golden. I loved the system, I really did. Why Sony dropped support on this hardware so badly and hasn't come back in full swing like the Wii U I have no clue. But the long and short is, you will go through the few desirable titles very quickly, and once you're done, I doubt you'll find much else to do with the system. Sad but true. I liked the PSP MUCH better. At the very least that system had a great import library.

I got Super Mario Bros as I wasn't a platinum level yet (that and I already own Earthbound anyway). It was also one of the few VC games listed I didn't have and wanted, so whatever .

Welcome, I'm on my third myself, haha. Speaking from experience, now is about the first time I'd jump on the bandwagon. Before this there was pretty slim pickins for games. Mario Kart has been nothing short of astounding. And this is coming from someone who owns an Xbox One and owned a PS4. That's about the best compliment I can give the game, that despite being on weaker hardware, looks the part of a next gen game.

Same here, someone mentioned "soul-less", and that's what World feels like to me. That and Mario feels like he's going slower than he should (and yes, I'm running). Land felt much better in my opinion. Although I wouldn't say it's the best 3d platformer, lol. There's no way 3D Land beat out Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Galaxy 1 and 2, Kirby or Phychonauts.

PS4 has been gone for a while now, unfortunately. Kept having issues, and Sony didn't want to help after a while and were quite rude about it, so I left. I don't give money to companies that treat me like a number. And considering how much financial issues they have, I don't think doing what they did was the best of ideas. I've had an Xbox One since, and I've been very happy with it. Honestly, I'm glad to be starting again on the Wii U. They had a horrible drought before, but I feel like it's now a good time to finally delve into the console. Been absolutely loving Mario Kart 8, although I'm not too terribly impressed with 3D World atm. DK TF is awesome though, and I can't wait for Toad's new game, the new StarFox and of course Smash. Here's to hoping we'll get a new F-Zero soon. One can hope.

That's kinda bothered me for a while. Either an oversight, or it's being done on purpose. If it's being done on purpose, ... well let's just hope that's not the case. To take that grudge for that many years against Nintendo on a forum that's supposed to be open-minded to all consoles would just be shallow and childish. You can argue why there isn't a forum for all classic consoles, as many aren't big enough to get their own forum, but there's only three modern mainstream consoles out. Wii U should be listed if XBox One and PS4 are there.

I could honestly care less. While it might be "nice", neither Sony or Microsoft have proven that they're very good at backwards compatibility. If they add it in later as an afterthought, I guarantee you it'll be worse than previous efforts. Either way, if they never got it, I wouldn't care so much. I'd personally much rather have backwards compatibility in PSN/XBL games, as I have a metric ton of downloadables I wish I could play until games start coming out for these systems.

Nice, that looks pretty similar in respects to its features. That must have been odd to have to players controlling their "player" by holding the same piece of hardware.

I picked up a mint condition deluxe Wii U and gamepad (and cords of course) with physical, cased copies of Mario 3d world and Mario kart. All I paid was 180. Couldn't be happier. I sold my last Wii U during the drought. I really wanted to try Mario kart 8 but I wasn't willing to spend 300 again. So happy! Especially since eBay prices for Wii u consoles are absolutely through the roof.
