  1. If you saw his other posts (including all the ones that have been deleted by mods and the ones on my other forums, like my for sale forum) he's made it perfectly clear that he meant much more than just that. If he wants to , he can feel free to PM me and tell me that himself (which he's made no effort to do). Otherwise, the plethora of posts he's made on every active thread of mine says differently to me. I don't get it. I've never had any issues with the guy over the many years we've both been here. Maybe he had a bad night. Maybe he's the biggest n-gage fanboy and took me selling it so that I could finally get an XE to a personal level. I don't know, haha. That's his beef. Thanks for the post, bud.
  2. Yep, took a loss on the N-Gage because I had to pick up the XE that I had been looking for for years. What's the point of choosing the N-Gage over the XE right now when 95% of the systems and games on ebay are still brand new. I'll buy it later. For now, the Atari takes precedence. Oh, and you've been reported for stalking my threads and for insulting my ethics, collecting habits, etc. If you can't stand the way I am, mute me and move on with your life. There's no need to make me a pet project to fill your free time.
  3. Yep! iron Soldier 2 was the primary reason I really wanted one. The first Iron Soldier was one of the very few Jaguar games I liked. I'll look into best-electronics sometime, although I heard some iffy stories about that place, I might take the risk. Sorry I couldn't help you get another one for your collection. I'm sure that's exactly what he did, which is his choice. I'm sure someone will buy it eventually, as they're almost impossible to find any longer. Thanks for the PM btw, I responded to ya. Have a good one, bud!
  4. Common courtesy is coming into my thread and insulting me? I'll remember that. Now please get off my back and judge your own life instead of mine.
  5. Really? Wow, I need to find that! Haha, you guys are just trying to get me to get a flash cart. Dang, I'm really going to have to consider one now... Right now, we're redoing the front living area and the XE will have front and center stage there, so I plan on playing this thing a LOT. Having one of my favorite (and sadly least ported) Atari games on it would make me a very happy gamer! I'll look into this, thank you. I'm new to the 8-bit computing world, so I'm not really sure what you mean, but more games are always better. I grew up with a Tandy laptop, so while I had a few games, I didn't have anything quite this fancy. We had that thing until we upgraded to a Windows 95 Compaq Presario, haha, so lots of good times on that old thing. I still have it, in fact, after all these years! (for those who thing I sell everything ) I'm curious, there are a couple games, like Choplifter, that are much more expensive than most other titles. Is this due to it being graphically superior to the 400 atari release? I really want that game, but I'm just not sure it's worth the cash since I have a superior SMS version 5 feet over to the left.
  6. After thinking about it, I don't think I'll bite on the flash cart on this system. There's something really exciting about going store to store and finding one of these in a stack of Atari 2600 carts, haha. That and since I've never owned the system before, it's kinda nice having the real thing with the real artwork. Here's to hoping I stumble across a Choplifter and Battlezone one day, as they're my favorite games from Atari. It's a shame Lunar Lander wasn't made for this, that would have been a great time.
  7. You'd think there would be more maturity in a forum who's medium age is over 40 years old. The internet can be a fun place...

I am very mature. You are a complete do-do head if you say otherwise.

  8. I'm not overblowing the issue at all. You insulted me, how I collect/play games, and sided with the store which marked up a system by double because you didn't want me to try it. "You will not like the Jaguar CD" - And you know this based on what? I like some of the screwy consoles. In fact, usually the more unpopular, the better. Quarky hardware and software is fun. But please, enlighten me. I still have my freakin games.com simply because I like Sega. But no, no... I must be selling it soon because you assume I hate it. "Issue is a legitimate concern to me". How is it a legitimate concern to you? We're talking about games. Can you not ask me a question about a game or system you might end up selling? Like I would care. These things are property, and nothing more. Some pieces of property you keep because of nostalgia and/or because you enjoy it, and some you move on from and sell. These aren't children. What does it matter if I sell something that I own, and that I took an interest in to try? And once again, you're coming at me. You're attacking me unprovoked. If you don't like the response, don't talk down to people if you have nothing to say. Clearly you weren't taught this as a child.
  9. I interact with people every day that I consider strangers. I consider anyone online I've never met face to face, especially, to be a stranger.
  10. Wow, thanks for the insults across the forums. Part of being a gamer is wanting to play things I haven't played before. Yes, I've moved on from many games and systems. I recirculate my gaming funds so that I don't spend much money on my hobby. There are also games and systems I refuse to ever let go of. Games and systems that are really near and dear to me, some of which I didn't even have as a kid (no nostalgia). I don't really see what's wrong with this. I know you gave me lip about the N-Gage on my own sale forum, but I simply sold it so I could get the Atari XE, the games of which appeal much more to me. I've NEVER seen an XE for sale in person. I wasn't about to pass that opportunity up. But no, I must be an evil re-seller because I don't horde 10,000 games in my small living room. I guess we'll just look past the fact I lost out on 50 bucks by selling the N-Gage when I did. And you know what? It was so worth it, and i'm happier for it. In fact, the last several items I've sold all at a loss, including my arcade machine. But sometimes things come along that are higher priorities, sometimes even outside the gaming world. I figure we're also looking past the fact that I had to sell off 95% of my collection when I lost my job. No, no.. I'm sure that just looked like "Daytona cashing in!" to you. Maybe think about the situation or kindly ask in a PM if you're that curious, first. And frankly, as long as I'm happy and reselling for large profits, what harm am I doing? I wouldn't sell my stuff so quick on these boards if I was charging list for everything. Have fun gaming, and maybe care more about what you're doing with your stuff than what I'm doing with mine, and you just might be happier for it.
  11. I found a magical system called the atari xe and wanted it more of the two. That, and there was a mental barrier... I just couldn't make myself unseal all those games , haha.
  12. Flowanda, giiiirl, you need ta read, girl. Mhmhhhhhm! *snap*
  13. Katana is up on the bay. However, I'm willing to negotiate with my AA peeps if bought here instead of eBay. Use the listing for pictures and description, and PM me here if you're interested! http://www.ebay.com/itm/231470014819?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 N-Gage lot is sold. System Rush will be for sale soon.
  14. I had one when I had a Virtual Boy. After the third vb to go through "the oven mod" I just got tired of dealing with the thing (that and I never played it). Wish I kept that cart for myself though. Never imagined how rare it would become...
  15. Yep, same store. Except now his Jaguar CD is ridiculously priced... hmmmmm. I think he caught on to me . Ah well, got the XE for a great price. Brand new for 140. Got some other games for it as well. Seriously flipping out on how happy I am . Box is in amazing shape. Made me chuckle reading all the promotions on the box, talking about how the "most exciting target and shooting games"..... except duck hunt. I checked it out, but it seems it's just one game at a time, is that right? So it's like the Virtual Boy's flash cart? See, I find those to be very annoying. I don't like having to load the rom all the time. I'd rather just buy the few carts that interest me if that's the case.
  16. I decided against it. It's located at Flashback games in Tempe. They raised the price on it. Now they want a whopping $399, when I swear to god it was 200 last night. Ah well, I at least got the new XE from them for a good price. Hope that helps, bud.
  17. I'm assuming that's a flash cart? I might have to look into this...
  18. I think doing videos (like we do) where there is a purpose and a point can be entertaining. It should be professional, but that's my opinion. I totally agree that most game play videos simply show someone fumbling through what I can only assume is a cave man's first attempt at dialog while playing (badly) through a game. Twitch seems to be even worse, and half the time the people "playing" are either just messing around or doing something else while they get enough watchers ready for them to play. Heck, in the time I spent waiting for you to eat your sandwich I could have gone to Youtube, looked up the game, and gotten the info I needed! I know it sounds stereotypical, but with my turning 30 this April, I've noticed these last couple months have revolutionary for me when it comes to my opinions on gaming related things. My tastes have been changing (feeling less connected to modern games for one...), and I have no freakin patience for things like Twitch, which for whatever reason, is all the rage. Ugh, I feel old....
  19. Thanks . I probably wouldn't have bought it if it only played the little XE carts, but being that it plays most 400/800 atari 8-bit computer games, I feel like it has a library almost too big to ignore. Heck, I'm getting goosebumps just at the thought of playing Battlezone and Defender!
  20. Agreed. I don't understand what is so hard to copy game play while just putting in a different sprite. Heck, with the graphic fidelity we're talking about here, a simple color palette swap would have been enough to make them not look like Smurfs...
  21. So I picked up the deluxe (computer and the game system) Atari XE. I'll be doing a video on it a bit later, but I'm extremely proud of this purchase as they're getting harder to find ... and ya know... it's new. That's a trip. It's the one with the keyboard, system, phaser gun, etc. Came with that bug light gun game, the flight sim II game, and I purchased a few they had for sale including (what I seem to be finding to be a very rare game) Mario Bros. I also purchased some 400 / 800 games as well. I'll have to check exactly what titles I bought. Donkey Kong was one... If you haven't been watching my vids, I've become very underwhelmed with newer consoles, and frankly just don't find any of them right now to be all that appealing. I've been really into going back to the games I love the most, which are arcade games (70s -90s) and when you do that, Atari comes up at some point. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the 2600. It was just before my time, and I think the graphics are just primitive enough for them to NOT be charming, and frankly, nearly completely useless. However, this whole 8-bit line of Atari products is a heck of a lot of fun, and I love the look of many of these games (heck, even Choplifter looks wonderful). If you have any game suggestions let me know. I have all the original manuals for the system and for the pack in games. So I think it'll be a fun read to go through the huge book to see how to control the flight sim game. I'm honestly super excited. Diving into a system you never heard of / played when you were young is extremely exciting. It's like a new system coming out.. except the games are actually good.
  22. It's the jag system and the cd add-on. No box, packaging, game, etc. Just the system, add-on and controller. It's not priced TOO high, but yes, I'll definitely have them test it for me (they have CD games there). Honestly, I'm kinda on an Atari kick. I just picked up a XEGS brand new in box yesterday, and I think I've been bit by the bug. But I HAVE owned a Jag in the past, and I remember it being a stinker. It's the only reason why I'm hesitating...
  23. Hey everyone, I have a store near me that has a Jaguar system with the CD add-on. I was just curious what they're worth. The only ones I can find online are coupled with tons of games, so it's hard to tell if I'd be over-paying for one of these or not. It's in great condition, no boxes though, just systems and controller with cords. Thanks.
