  1. That's what I figured. Just so nervous as the only one I ever owned broke in transit. Fingers crossed... I'll let you guys know if it gets here ok.
  2. I'm buying a Q from somebody out of state. I've had one Q before and it arrived broken. Granted it was poorly packed and came all the way from Japan. This is only one state away. But I'm curious, is there any specific way to ship this to help protect the fragile tray? I've thought about asking for the tray to be taped shut. And of course wrapped well in bubble wrap. But outside that I'm kinda stumped. Is thepart of the tray that breaks a vibration issue in transit or from the package being hit really hard. Just want to get this thing here in one piece
  3. Dude I know the feeling. I've been really lucky recently. 42 dollar japanese 3DO. 5 dollar GC controllers. 2 dollar Mario Tennis 64. Boxed Neo Geo PC games. Stunt Racer 64 for cheap. Hor GC pad for 30 bucks in mint shape. PC Engine Duo R boxed shipped to me in mint condition as a replacement for a yellowed, unboxed one that was broken when shipped to me on eBay. 150 dollar Wii U Deluxe. Etc Etc.. I've had a good last couple months...
  4. Hey, I can answer all your questions. The 3DOs are region free. ALL games will work on the Japanese systems. Most games will work on the US systems. Only games that don't have Kanji on the disc won't play on a US system. But all of them will play on a Japanese console. Games, if American, will display with English... like any other game . The system won't translate them for the console's regional language. So all your American games will display like on an American system. Personally, I think the FZ-10 is the best system. The FZ-1's can have faulty front loaders. I'd double check that it's in premium condition to guarantee you won't have problems down the road. Otherwise, the japanese models are the best. I have an american and Japanese FZ-1s and while I love them both, I tend to play on the Japanese one the most as it's completely open to any game I put in. Hope this helped. Good luck, and I hope you get a 3DO soon . You'll love it.
  5. No controller, in good shape (not like, super collector condition, there are a couple scratches, but very nice). Comes with AV and power cords. Tabs have been removed so it plays games from both regions, however it's a Japanese model at heart. Got an RGB model, so I just don't need this around anymore. $25
  6. Not really "for sale", so figured I'd ask if anyone here needed it, I'd post it here. It's the manual that came with the Neo Geo CD (the small top loader model). In good shape outside a couple dog ears, otherwise crease free. Comes with the yellow sheet of paper that was inside it. PM me and it's yours. I have no use for it, as I don't have the console anymore.
  7. Up for sale is a Pikachu 3DS XL in VERY good shape. No scratches on the screen. Top/bottom is in fantastic shape. This one comes with the original box, also in great shape, with all the original innards. Not sure whether or not to sell it with the games or without, to be honest. So if you have an offer, just PM me or post here. The games I have are all in fantastic shape. They include Tomadachi Life, Animal Crossing (3ds), Kirby Triple Deluxe, Starfox 64 3D, Super Street Fighter 4, Steel Diver, and Kirby Super Star Ultra (original DS, only game without case/manual). $399 for the whole lot. Thanks. Pictures up tomorrow morning.
  8. Needs to be in great condition, with original Panasonic controller and remote. Box is not important. The disc drive MUST be working 100%. No exceptions. Thanks! (PM me , don't post here, if you have one)
  9. Too bad the Wii u drive doesn't have the ability to grab GC discs.
  10. Well if you're really wanting clarity, my rgb nodded n64 is the way to go, but I'm just trying to get him away from rf haha
  11. Rf is worthless on any system. Always go with at least composite.
  12. That's interesting. I didn't know that. Then again, I know at least in the beginning the DC sold rather well. I agree. Especially in the state Sony is in right now, with them shedding off unprofitable divisions, I can't see them going a third time into a profitless market. It's sad, as I've actually quite enjoyed the hardware they produced. But they don't seem to understand that making devices that try to be a console experience, but worse, is wrong. They should have eventually learned to take N's approach to instead create unique games you can't get anywhere else, and for a lower price at that. Even still, I think the Vita could have been ok. It got FANTASTIC media coverage and praise at first. And then they announced memory cards were priority and ridiculously priced. After that, they really haven't had the same media hype since. In fact it all but killed the hype for it's launch in the states. I remember them not pushing out nearly as many systems as they thought they would...
  13. Fixed. The Vita is dead. Digital releases are on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Doesn't stop each from having healthy stock of games at any gaming/department store. Say what you want, but I bet in a year this thing is history, hence why it's name has been changed in North America, but not in Japan where it's not doing so badly.
  14. There's fun to be had for sure. Then again, there's not many consoles I can think of from the modern age where fun couldn't be had. I think that's besides the point. If you wait (most likely) just a few months, these things will be on clearance. All that GameStop has is a side rack, identical to the original DS, with a handful of games.... no systems. Department stores... even worse. The only games that seem to ever be announced are PS3/4 ports, but most of the time the system is on dialysis. Again, if you want to buy one in the future. Great. There are certainly a decent chunk of games to enjoy for it. But there's simply not enough to justify a purchase now while the unit (and needed memory cards) are still very expensive, with a game library that's all but halted. It's a shame. Unlike the Wii U, the Vita hasn't caught it's "break". It hasn't had that one game that starts to turn things around. And it should have it, because it's a fantastic piece of kit. But recommending the system to someone at the current price based on it's position and current library.. look guys, I know you might like some of the games, but you can't honestly stand behind a dying system and say it's a good value right now. Wait.
  15. Yeah and to be fair, when the joysticks are worn down on a gamepad from playing smash that's a hell of a repair on your hands... Replacing a GC controller is far cheaper
  16. No. I've owned two. Keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But there's just no more support. And good luck finding one new. All my local stores have cleared out most stock of games and systems. Including gamestop and Walmart.
  17. They already confirmed wavebirds are supported. But yeah, no one really knows its uses outside smash. I'd like to say they'd have GC vc games. But given they don't even have the Wii's vc library that might be a stretch.
  18. I agree. 2600 is a short burst system for me as well. I can't play it for more than a few minutes. The games simply aren't complex enough to get lost in.
  19. Very true.. except that cord. WHY did they put it on the bottom with that stupid clip on top that doesn't hold it? WHYYYYYYY!!! >
  20. But that's why I'm confused. There were two types of NA 3do boxes. Ones like the PS1 ones, where they opened from the side and had a full length manual with a disc held within the long case, or a cardboard one that opened on the end with a jewel case inside and a long manual inside. Either way, you end up with a long box and long manual. I agree jewel cases suck, but the 3DO didn't really utilize those unless if was the latter style box which just held the CD inside in place. True. I don't really see the "porn" games as real games. I know they "are", but they always seem very unofficial. But you're right, Japanese games were jewel case only. I guess I thought we were just talking NA games . Those are the ones I primarily collect, so that's how I think of the game boxes for the 3DO.
