Yes Missile Command on the 2600 and 5200 is a good one. I owned a Missile Command cabinet at one time but I can't say that either is better than the other.

Was just playing this. Won't be submitting a score because I can't see the enemies bullets on the first screen.

Been playing a lot of ColecoVision Galaxian lately.
Also like ColecoVision Donkey Kong better than the arcade because it's easier although missing the pie factory.
ColecoVision Mario Bros. but I don't have that one anymore unless they want to sell the ROM.
Battlezone and Scramble on the 2600 have been getting a lot of play lately too.

RIP ReplayFX
Used to go to TooManyGames but the only draw for me was the marketplace. Since I sold off all my shit, no sense in going now.

Zero Page Homebrew will plan a live stream to celebrate the anniversary and will subsequently spam every forum on AtariAge with a thread announcing it.

I think selling roms would get more audience than physical games.
Not everybody have classic consoles and prefer playing on computers or other devices instead.
Sold off my collection a couple of years ago while the hardware was still in working condition. Bought a Raspberry Pi to play all the old games. I would be interested in buying ROMs if they were available but at the same time I'm not going to miss what I haven't got.

$10 tops for me.

May 22, 2000. I was a member of half.com and eBay bought it and that's when my account was created. That's why I have "-half" in my username.

It has an IP address and it is connected as I can use the web browser that installs with the Rasberry Pi OS to go on the Internet. But when I boot the Rasberry Pi OS, it does not show up as a network device on my PC so I can't access it or see any of the files.
The opposite is true when booting RetroPie. It shows up as a network device on my PC and I can freely transfer files between my PC and the Rasberry Pi.
I've seen mention of Samba, but being new to all this I don't know what it is or does. I will go hunt for it and see if that is the solution. Thanks!!!
Couldn't you use SFTP and Filezilla? That's what I do.

Other forum software does this

Just wanted to add another game to the list. I think Ghosts' N Goblins for the NES is a really good game to help relieve some anxiety. Although it is a very difficult game, it is a game that I can become submerged in, and one that I can never get tired of playing. I think the better you become at difficult games like Ghosts' N Goblins, the more relaxing and anxiety relieving they become to play.
I think any game that provides a distraction to the anxiety would be on the list. Ghosts N Goblins is too difficult for me.

I play Game Gear games on Retropie.

Stopped collecting years ago once I got the Harmony cart. Now I've moved on from console hardware to Retropie. I still play occasionally, but not as much as I used to. I'm more into playing pinball now than video games.

I remember mightymage from the arcade high score club got banned years ago
for cheating, had a crazy high score for Mr Do's Castle
Didn't realize he got banned. I ran the arcade/mame HSC when he put up a crazy score on Reactor and claimed it was his second attempt ever playing the game. It was like 92K. Nobody puts up a score like that not knowing anything about the game. Especially Reactor.

Announced yesterday. They can't stay afloat because of the pandemic. They're selling everything (pinball machines, arcade games, consoles and other assets). It was fun while it lasted.
https://replayfoundation.org/2020-announcement/
QuoteHello, fellow gamers and friends. We hope you continue to be safe and healthy in this difficult time.
The Replay Foundation was established in 2011 to promote the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of pinball technology, with an emphasis on the player experience. Replay exists to continue the activities of the Professional & Amateur Pinball Association, and it has expanded those activities to encompass many forms of gaming, in particular by operating the world’s largest arcade through the signature Replay FX event.
The Foundation relies on public events to further its mission and support its operations. Being able to play games competitively in person is a key element of both the mission and the events. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic conditions, it has proven nearly impossible to safely and practically operate large public events.
Therefore it was with great sadness and regret that we must discontinue our public events and wind down most of our operations until further notice. We know this is very disappointing, but we have been unable to find any other way to proceed.
While the Foundation is not dissolving, we are liquidating most of our physical assets and cancelling all of our public events. Over the coming months, the Foundation will retire all of its debts, including the refund of prepaid tickets, and will exist solely as an online resource for the foreseeable future.
The tireless commitment and hard work put in by our employees and volunteers will always be immensely appreciated, as well as the support and enthusiasm of our fans and attendees. We hope to play some role in the future of gaming, and we encourage everyone to collect and play these beautiful games whenever possible.
With all our hearts, we thank you for having been on this journey with us, and for creating such wonderful memories together. It is, in fact, more fun to compete. We will see you all in the arcade someday.
Sincerely,
Kevin Martin & Mark Steinman

I've wanted to look into Retropie, can you recommend anyone who could help me get started on that?
I bought a Canakit off of Amazon. I would recommend getting a large SD card though - someone told me all I needed was 32-GB and then when I started adding PS1 games I had to buy a larger card and copy everything over. I already had Xbox 360 controllers, so all I needed to add was the receiver for them. When all was said and done, I have like over 10,000 games for under $200.

the availability of MAME renders the ports obsolete.
I still enjoy playing the 2600 version of Ms. Pac on my Retropie.

I wasn't looking to leave , just wanted to see if AA had some kinda tool to disable or remove my reactions for the status updates.
Have you thought of maybe checking out other discussion forums like Reddit or the MISC forum on BodyBuilding.com?

Arcade MAME HSC 2021 Gorf
in Arcade/MAME High Score Club
Posted
Decided to give this another go after losing only one life this time on the first board. Galaxians screen is glitchy in MAME. I would've done a lot better on an actual Gorf cabinet but don't feel like driving an hour and paying $25 at an arcade I don't like going to.
