I bought a Supercharger thru auction so I am no longer in the market for one.

WTB - Space Invaders Collection by Opcode Games and Galaxian - both carts for Colecovision. I will buy these carts individually as they do not need to be in a set for condition of sale.

I haven't seen anyone post what options are need when running bin2wav
The roms I downloaded where a26 files and I ran the exe from the cmd line with options T:bin and PC:1500
The wav files that were created were mostly 10 minutes in length with the largest 40 minutes in length. Is this right?

I was at the Opcode Games site and there was no info on how to purchase the games??

I just received a Colecovision today and it came with one dead controller and a bum controller so I am in the market for two new controllers...
Are there any controllers that would be recommended over the stock controllers that come with the system? Post links if you could to point me in the right direction...
Incidentally, I had that problem with vertical sprites around objects on this "new" old system. I narrowed it down to the power switch based on the information I read in the Colecovision FAQ and the troubleshooting that I did. I took it apart (it was a pain to take the cover off just like everyone said it would) and gave it a thorough cleaning using canned air and isopropyl alcohol, and along with a little 4-in-one oil on the power switch itself and it worked like a champ! Lastly, I replaced the wire that connects out from the unit to the TV switch to get a clear picture. Totally awesome!

Yes, and try the GCC version of Millipede. I think it's a bit better than the official Atari release. Sounds are better, graphics are a little better. A really nice game. I know it's in the Atari 2600 GameBase, and probably elsewhere as well.
"GCC version"?

This may sound silly...
Maybe these clowns don't even play video games but it shows the lack of knowledge these ID10Ts have regarding the roots of home consoles. Its why we have groups like the Video Arcade Preservation Society.
I'll still be able to sleep at night...its just dumb...

Why doesn't someone write a "Centipede Arcade" for the 2600 to make the graphics look more like the original arcade game?

Review:
I quite enjoyed the book. The earlier chapters were better than the later chapters. Towards the end, the authors seemed to have lost their focus, particularly during the Empire Strikes Back chapter, where the topic of conversation changes repeatedly without any real rhyme or reason. That chapter started out very promising, and then just fell apart into a discussion of a bunch of unrelated topics.
Still a good read. Solid B

That's exactly what I found.

You're not talking about this, are you?
That's it!
Thanks much!

I came across a site the other day that had pictures of storage ideas for vintage systems using shelves, bins etc etc.
If you know what site I am talking about, could you kindly post the link as well as send me a PM?
Thanks

Looking to buy a working Supercharger with Phaser Patrol. Any other games that can be thrown in the mix I'd like to negotiate.

I'm almost done reading this book and it is quite interesting.
However, I am surprised given the author's creds, how at times he makes it a difficult read using double negatives and tends to go off topic at times. There was one instance where there were like 4 fragmented sentences in a row.

What draws you to collecting classic video games?

I saw the movie "Chasing Ghosts" several months ago and that movie brought back so many fond memories of my youth. My wife watched it with me and was pretty bored with my excitement, however.
Nostalgia is the number one reason.
My 7 year old son loves Playstation 1. Heck, I figure if we stay behind a few generations in consoles, I'm going to save a ton of dough in games.
I bought the book Supercade and was showing him all the games that I used to play at home and the arcade. I recalled to him the day my dad, with reservation, bought my first (and only) Atari 2600 (with the six switches). We bought it at Service Merchandise and if you ever shopped there you remember that they would load the merchandise from the stock room onto a conveyor belt for customer pickup. I can remember the drama of watching that boxed up Atari 2600 sitting on the conveyor, inching its way closer for what seemed an eternity.
Now thirty years later, my life has become complicated just like everyone else's. There are days I resent the very modern technology that I use to survive. Those are the days that I like to retreat to my carefree youth and pop in the old Space Invaders cart on the 2600.
Galaga, in my opinion, is the greatest arcade game of all time and I will never see anything that can beat it, despite the superior graphics of the modern consoles.
Well, I gotta go. My 7 year old is playing Medieval Mayhem on the 2600.
