  1. If memory serves there were two different versions of the multicart for different versions of Atari Lynx. Something about the cart not fitting in the other Lynx. How do I identify which multicart I have? I looked at the cart and I didn't see anything on there indicating a version number. I sold my Atari Lynx so I want to put this up for auction.

  2. Topic was started a couple of years after the King of Kong was released and we saw a renewed interest in golden age arcade and console gaming. I think the interest has peaked, we are already on the decline and only the hardest of core will remain while picking up a few newbies here and there. AtariAge membership is at 51,800+ but I suspect more than half of those accounts are inactive. I'll loosely define inactive as in hasn't logged in in over a year.

Haven't bought a cartridge in years. I suspect most loose Atari black label carts still go between 50 cents and a dollar.

I too just received my copy (love it!!) and the second game in, something strange happened:

In the Arena, a Garwor and Thorwor were coming at me at once and squeezed me into the upper left corner of the maze. As soon as that happened, I disappeared, but could hear myself still firing. Thought I was still walking around, but noticed a pattern of white starfield dots in the middle of the screen instead. Had to reset the game as it was just stuck in that mode. Couldn't see myself nor my shots. Here's a vid:

Umm... it's not showing. Taken from my iPad and it's a .mov file. Not compatible with the forum software?

    I can see it

  4. OK guess I'll flesh out my original response...

Atari 2600: I wanted the console in the first place for Space Invaders so I'll go with that game

ColecoVision: my brother bought the CV while he was living in my mom's basement. We used to play the piss out of that console every day I got home from school. And Mouse Trap was probably the game I loved the most. Although we also spent a shitload of time playing DK, DK Jr., Smurf and Carnival.

Arcade: gotta go with Galaga since I could just ride my bike to the convenience store with friends and play all the time

    NES: Super Mario

Don't know what they go for. Out of my range. I am unemployed right now. That is good for you though. What do they usually sell for on average at auction?

I was just kidding around. I think they sell for $120 new so I'll start the auction at $59.99. Follow my auction thread here on AA. I list my items on Saturday then update the thread the following Monday. I'm taking a break for the holidays cuz the post office is a pain in the ass this time of year.

There was also a version called PIRATE PETE.  The first stage took place on a pirate ship with you swinging from ropes, then the 2nd stage had sharks in the water and the final stage replaced the cannibals with enemy pirates.  I never came across that one.

I never saw one in the wild either. I only played it for the first time a few months ago in MAME.
