I hate how a dishwasher that normally does a great job just decides one day to basically take a crap on your dishes, no matter what dishwashing liquid/pod/rinse agent you use.

  I don't trust dish washing machines at all. Too many people at work however seem to have blind faith in them and inserts the most grubby stuff, sometimes upside down so the water jets won't reach the dirtiest side. This last week one piece of container went into the washer thrice in a row before it was deemed clean enough. It would have taken 30 seconds of hand washing with a brush to accomplish the same results as 9 hours of dishwasher in that case.
