I'm not a *complete* pussy when it comes to hot sauce/salsa, but I sometimes underestimate medium sauces/salsas from the store.
-
A while ago I bought some Shishito peppers which, they claim, are mild, but 1 in 10 may be hot. I don't think I ever found a hot one, though haha! Jalapenos are a weird one to me, because I've had some very mild ones and also found some that burn and burn, and really stick with you. I think the peppers (and their capsaicin levels) vary depending on the climate/amount of sunlight, etc. where they're grown...Probably can affect salsas, too!

We had jalapeños and habaneros growing next to each other in the garden a couple of years ago. They ended up cross-breeding (don't ask me how this happens; I know next to nothing about the sex life of plants) and creating a really interesting set of peppers. You'd either end up with unusually-potent jalapeños with a touch of habanero flavour to them, or habaneros that were on the milder side but with a light jalapeño flavouring over the habanero.
Sadly, they didn't survive the winter. But they were really good while they lasted.

@x=usr(1536) So you know a little bit about the sex life of plants?
Haaa!
Those sound really good actually! I wonder if they've ever sold such a breed? A while back I bought a bell pepper at the grocery store that was half red and half yellow pepper (but not orange, it had both colors)...I put it on a pizza, there's pics in the What are you eating tonight? thread...

Really f***ing weird-- I played Phantasy Star on Kega Fusion emulator and King Lassic kills my whole party with one hit. Huh??

Did we have an official Sega Master System thread?

Which is better for the Sega Master System-- Castle of Illusion or Land of Illusion?

Holy Smokes, you are committed!!!
Hehe-waiting on my SMS buddy to pass his bar exam so we can get back to the Ayrton Senna, but let's see, since we got on the SMS at relatively the same time, I've went from the Intellivision for a while, then some 2600, then to the Famicom(mostly playing US games, via flashcart-top loader, has a nicer pic than my USA NESs), back to the 2600, then the INT again, haha, and the drunk fairy evidently dragged the N64 off the shelf a few days ago, but I'm not sure why.
I have the attention span of a gnat.
Those are Mickey games, right? I may check them out, my Granddaughter is obsessed with Minnie right now, and I grew up close enough to Orlando that I went to the Magic Kingdom probably too many times as a kid, haha, uncommon complaint I guess.

Been forever since a filling popped out when eating something chewy. I always think the food manufacturers put something in it until closer inspection..

Oh thank God.. I was getting pissed at Fusion (my SMS emu) because I thought it wasn't recognizing any custom control inputs.. but there were TWO sets of inputs, one for Genesis controls and one for SMS controls and I kept changing the Genesis ones (obviously with no effect on the SMS games). Whew!

F***ing Walgreens.. you follow the instructions to stop them sending you emails and then you get twice as many.

Wow, would have sworn Cleveland would blow another big lead as per usual.

Just looking at the US releases for the Sega Master System I could understand being underwhelmed. But many Brazil/Euro releases were great on the system!

The guys at SMS Power have some decent homebrew releases.
Lost Raider and Sunny the Mermaid are worth looking into.

It sucks to not only embarrass yourself with a silly fall but also break/wound something in the process. Walked back from the bank in the pouring rain and slipped on the wet grass, pinning my arm in the process. And getting covered with mud. F***!!!

@Machine Thanks! I have much more mobility with my arm today. My NFL team kicking butt just before the playoffs helps improve my disposition.
@GoldLeaderEXACTLY how I was feeling. Although the pain didn't really kick in until a bit later. But I did NOT want to look stupid.

Those "Butter Popcorn" Jelly Bellies tastes nothing like buttered popcorn. They do, however, taste like sweet custard. Yummy!

Ugh.. PAPERBOY in Mame pulls your paperboy to the left and speeds you way the hell up. Sucks!

Boy, Hyper Sports is one infuriating game to emulate the controls on. I CANNOT set them up to work right on the Long Horse event.

Coming to the conclusion that RETURN OF THE JEDI (arcade) is just not a very good game.

Whereas all of the other Star Wars games are Perfect!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Sorry,
Hope you enjoyed my joke.
Personally I love Empire Strikes Back for Atari 2600, The First Star Wars Arcade game and (difficulty aside) some of the Famicom/Gameboy/NES/SNES games, maybe Jedi Death Star Battle (whatever it's called), And then things get dicey...The one for GBA with the Millenium Falcon was fun... for 5 minutes (swing and a miss), and that PS2 (Starfighter?) one with the Neverending Tutorial should have been fun ---Nope! It's Awful because they overly complicated everything about it)...I'll not go on...Too Depressing...

STERRRRNN!!! He's nothin' but a lowdown, double dealin', backstabbin' larcenous, perverted worm! Hangin's too good for him! Burnin's too good for him! He should be torn into little bitsy pieces! And BURIED ALIVE!!!-- Hanover Fiste

Wow, that's frustrating about Major Havoc emulated in MAME. The vector graphics are not all showing in the space maze stage. I keep running into nothing!

Every time I go through an automatic sliding door I think of the opening for GET SMART.

Wow.. the Clippers franchise REFUSES to win the big games. Doesn't matter how much talent they have.

I told Ziplyfiber to fix my internet connection issues permanently once and for all or I'll cancel their services. They sent a tech out to replace the ONT box last week. Problems gone!
-
I had intermittent (shitty) service for weeks. Ended up needing a new wire ran underground from the service box into the house. I ended up doing it myself last Monday because I couldn't wait for them to come out and fix it. Glad we don't have utility poles else I couldn't have done that
Service technician was really nice - I told him what I did and why, he was cool with it. Tested the original stuff, not surprisingly it was bad, so he ran new wire and off he went.

The Seattle "Kraken"?? Ugh; really?!

Ugh; Craigslist sucks.. you have to have a super-complicated password and half the people seem to flake out on you.

I like when a quarterback points downfield to a supposedly wide open receiver and then throws an embarrassing interception.
-
-
@Joe C. I'm not sure about one in particular that does that a lot but I see it from younger qbs more often perhaps. Could be a poorly run route by the WR, could just be an awful throw (more likely).. but the DB has plenty of time to get in position. Makes me laugh.

Gonna rent out rooms in my house. Not a social person by any means but those rooms are empty and not makin' me any money. If you're in the Portland OR metro area and need a room..
