The heat is on...

The hottest it ever got here was 110 degrees. We're supposed to break that record this weekend. And it's only June.

Wow, a shooting across the street from me.  I was at work at the time.  Robbery apparently.  He didn't put the gun down when the cop ordered him to and he got shot.  Funny how that happens.  No life threatening wounds but a terminal case of stupid.

Been playing some Ms. Pac Man on the Genesis, very nice port overall. Has plenty of extra features the arcade original doesn't such as a difficulty selection, the option for extra speed (called the "Pac Booster" in game), and extra mazes.

The 3 button pad is s a bit unruly to control the game with, definitely use a 6 button pad if you can, as it has a better dpad for this sorta thing.

I have to make an 850 mile trip tomorrow to PA. My mother was found dead on her porch. I'd been trying to get ahold of her for days, but even their 911 wouldn't answer up there...
