Pizza Hut was my first job after high school. It was just a carry out and we did not have any arcade machines-- also, it was one year before the NEO GEO came around.
I didn't notice the NEO GEO until FATAL FURY came out. I saw it at the department store (Fred Meyer) I worked at when moved back to Portland. It was a 2-slot with MUTATION NATION.
I was crazy about Fatal Fury, but Geese Howard's utter cheapness pissed me off royally.

I remember when it was brand new. I hated using DOS commands. Thank God for front ends!

I just bought a KID NIKI: RADICAL NINJA (NES) pixel t-shirt.
No pic here but it's just a pixelated closeup pic of Kid Niki, with red background.

I watched your YouTube on Super Bagman. I liked it. I left a post wondering how you got so many extra men on your first Act.
Also, I watched another YouTube video where a guy hit a million. The way he played was pretty suspect, or at the least difficult.
Oh cool! Yeah, that must have been an infinite lives cheat-- I'll do a regular game play without cheats and then sometimes put on cheats for a bit just to show gameplay of where I left off. Or later interesting parts of the game I was unable to reach. It's been quite a while since I posted that one. I have a regular BAGMAN video as well.

I was addicted to Super Bagman in the early '80s with a few other guys at an arcade. Not many of these games around. My high score was 993,000 and always bummed I didn't hit a million. I bought one in the mid 90's but it never played well so I regrettably sold it. Still in my pursuit to hit that million I finally bought a MAME in restored Bagman cabinet. I've had it for a few moths and have gotten up to 660,000 but WILL hit the million mark soon. I would love to see others play to maybe learn something new but I'm always trying new stuff, especially to find a sure fire way to get both guards stuck in the last frame mine thing. I'm fine if they aren't, but would like a more sure fire way to increase my chances.
That's pretty damn impressive.
I wish that both games would have a radar screen telling you where the guards were, on which screen.

I know how easy this topic is to respond to if you're thinking of a lot of Capcom vs. fighting games-- Ryu from Street Fighter appearing in, say, Marvel vs. Capcom or something-- and that's fine. But also, various little icons that appeared/originated in other games, making cameo appearances!
I will start with a small number of Capcom usuals:
BARREL
This was originally from the Japan-only game PIRATE SHIP HIGEMARU. It cameos in many Capcom games including 1943. I think it gives you more weapon power/life in that game if I remember correctly. It also holds weapons/bonus items/etc. in GUNSMOKE.
YASHICHI
This item often is very lucrative when you collect it, or it gives you a 1up. This actually originally appeared as an enemy in the game VULGUS. It is a red-and-white pinwheel type of icon based on a Japanese tv series called MITO KOMON.
COW
Also known as HOLSTEIN, this I believe originally appeared in GUNSMOKE. This later appeared in several other games like STRIDER and FORGOTTEN WORLDS. Usually worth some nice bonus points.
DRAGONFLY
This originally appeared as an enemy in SON SON. It would later usually appear as a bonus item in Capcom games and was worth some nice points. It was in GUNSMOKE, 1943, and others.
WHITE STAR
A simple white star appeared in numerous Capcom games; usually bonus points. It may have first been in GUNSMOKE.
BAMBOO
A sprout of bamboo first appeared in 1943. It may have also appeared in BLACK TIGER and 1944: THE LOOP MASTER. Either points or a POW, and you may have to shoot it to make it appear.
POW
Ah.. one of the most famous Capcom cameos! First appeared in VULGUS. Usually gives you a weapon power up, or points, or acts as a smart bomb, affecting/destroying all onscreen enemies.
What cameo items/characters can you think of that originated in one game, but appeared in another/others as well?

New one:
COMMANDO (1985 Capcom)
This also had a Data East license. Classic hard-as-nails Capcom game, with a vertically-scrolling military theme. Move your commando up the screen, shooting and grenading enemies that pop up from EVERYWHERE to take shots at you-- fortunately the shots don't travel terribly fast but it does get tough to avoid from all angles. Extra grenades can be picked up from collected gold bars. Enemy vehicles enter the fray starting on the 2nd level. "Boss" fights with usually just enemy soldiers pour out for a while at the end of a stage. The NES port is damn brilliant.
I saw this first at a 7-11 by my house in the Garden Home district of Portland, OR. Played it, and really sucked at it. Currently, I'm making a video for it on YouTube for my 1985 arcade series.

The .vec and .bin files are identical, the only difference is the name of the files and the emulators don't care how they're named. I've tried 3D Crazy Coaster in three different emulators Mame, Parajve, and Vecxgl; all produced the same result, a blank screen after the title screen.
Have you had any success with the light pen in Parajve? I have it set up for light pen in game port 2 as I'm supposed to. I can see the game images at the top and bottom (what they indicate I'm not sure), but no white dot at the center. I can't draw by holding the mouse button(s) down, though I can see the crosshairs like I'm supposed to. If I don't have it set up for light pen (with mouse) the little white dot is at the center but no icons/indicators at top or bottom, and I have no crosshairs and can't draw (a little white line will flash across the screen on its own every couple seconds). Any ideas?

Okay, thanks! I'll just do a video review of the system without the 3d games and explain in the video why. Cheers!

My favourite Vectrex emulator is ParaJVE. It comes with the game rom and overlay files all in one package ready to go.
I find it odd that 3D games aren't listed on the game select menu. I loaded the 3D game roms but they don't work. Will PARAJVE not read .vec files? Only .bin files? At any rate, the main screen for the 3D game will show but when it disappears no game will run. The games are 3D Crazy Coaster, 3D Mine Storm, and 3D Narrow Escape. If you can, let me know if you can play 3D Vectrex games on ParaJVE. Thanks!
