  1. In real life Val DOES look like a corpse now, unfortunately.. I decided to go with the look many of us are familiar with.
  2. RAINBOW ISLANDS TECMO BOWL BIONIC COMMANDO all arcade
  3. Pizza Hut was my first job after high school. It was just a carry out and we did not have any arcade machines-- also, it was one year before the NEO GEO came around. I didn't notice the NEO GEO until FATAL FURY came out. I saw it at the department store (Fred Meyer) I worked at when moved back to Portland. It was a 2-slot with MUTATION NATION. I was crazy about Fatal Fury, but Geese Howard's utter cheapness pissed me off royally.
  4. HEAVY BARREL ALIEN SYNDROME THUNDER BLADE all arcade
  5. Am I the only one that doesn't think Road Blasters is that great a game?

I mainly remember when it first appeared in the arcade.   After a dry spell,  it was something different and it was very well liked, for a short period of time before something else great came along.

Ice Cream Sunday and Road Blasters... good times.

I always loved RoadBlasters, wasn't too bad at it.

Hard/Race Drivin' not so much - though at a free play arcade like Galloping Ghost, they are more fun.  Otherwise those two just ate money and were too choppy.

  6. Doing a 1987 arcade video series-- coming down to Blasteroids and Twin Cobra, which to leave off my list?

Kyuukyoku Tiger is an incredible game that literally changed shooting games forever with its introduction of the cycling red/green/blue/yellow powerup icon, as it was the first shooter to ever have that, and now that cycling powerup is common in many shooting games. Twin Cobra, the international version of Kyuukyoku Tiger, is significantly different from Kyuukyoku Tiger, as well, so definitely consider checking out the differences. Kyuukyoku Tiger is way more difficult than Twin Cobra is, though...

@GoldLeader @Keatah @Steven Pendleton @ls650 Thanks for the suggestions!  I will make Blasteroids #20 on my top 20 list.

  7. I'd love to see a reboot of the PS1 Clock Tower.  With MUCH better voice acting, better graphics and more gory deaths!

  8. I remember when it was brand new. I hated using DOS commands. Thank God for front ends!
  9. I just bought a KID NIKI: RADICAL NINJA (NES) pixel t-shirt. No pic here but it's just a pixelated closeup pic of Kid Niki, with red background.
