i read alot of small press horror novels and while poking around amazon i discovered people selling the out of print ones for $200 and $300 each. i could never sell them though because my books are one of the very few physical items i have an emotonal attachment to.

what kind off stuff do you like? from almost 3 years at gamestop i'm pretty good a recommendations lol, i just need a baseline interest or 2.

 

off the top of my head, since you like civ rev i'd say Dawn of Discovery for the wii. it's a light strategy city building/resource farming game.

my friend is an author so i know the struggle. theres alot of times i don't see or hear from him for weeks because he's got a deadline to meet. it's tough, thus i only attempted it once. i got a rather encouraging rejection but i put the story to rest and haven't written anything in years. from stories he's told me i've surmised that writers are an odd bunch lol.

i understand what the article it trying to say but the writer is living in a fantasy world. i hate to be a prick but frankly life sucks. i'm sorry if youre disabled but the world simply doesn't cater to everyone's whims and wishes. its not fair but a disability or age keeps you from doing everything you could possibly want, thats the way life is.

 

the sheer cost of game development as it is aren't taken into account either. it costs tens of millions of dollars and years of development as it is to develop even a short mainstream game. i couldn't imagine the costs and time involved in order to cater to every disability under the sun. it's delusional.

i respect what the article is saying but it's frankly impossible and impractical on every conceivable level.

 

as for your comments, i agree. i'm only 32 but my reflexes suck and as a result online fps' are a misery for me to play. i've been moving away from fast action games and more towards rpgs and action-adventure titles. however i would never request that the entire industry change simply to suit my lack of skills. i accept that as i age there are things i can no longer do.

 

as for saves, why don't consoles have savestates? it has a hard drive, use it! slogging it out until you reach a checkpoint is a ridiculously outdated concept.

amen. more heavy rain and mass effect, less gears of war and call of duty. i don't consider blood and tits to be "mature" gaming, i'm not 13 anymore.

[Terminator Salvation]

i'm gonna have to beg to differ. i think terminator salvation is the best of the series. yes there are questionable moments (how exactly did the harvester sneak up on them? its huge!) but overall it did EVERYTHING that i wanted a terminator film to do. it was gorgeously filmed and the story was awesome.

 

i never understood the worship of t2. personally i think it was silly, slow moving, overblown, badly acted trash. how can there be any suspense when the antagonist doesn't appear onscreen for almost an hour? it also screws with continuity horribly. cameron leaces it as thats it, skynet is destroyed....yet if it was john connor would completely cease to exist and sarahs life would be completely different.

 

i guess i'll never understand this worship people have for james cameron. i also think aliens is the worst in the series.

 

people who hate terminator 3 simply don't get it. the future war NEEDED to happen if the series were to continue. it couldn't be arnold endlessly fighting a villain of the month. t3 was a great stepping stone between fixing camerons mess and ushering in the future war.
