  1. As for me it falls into the ''decent'' category. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a Sonic fan to begin with but I'm just not feeling this game. It's definitely a quality title with good production value but it really doesn't suit my tastes.
  2. There is also going to be a Skylanders Swap Force/Nintendoland bundle in November for $299, however it is the white 8 gig console. A white Wii U Basic system A Skylanders SWAP Force starter pack that includes: Skylanders SWAP Force Wii U software A Portal of Power Three Skylanders figures, including Ninja Stealth Elf (one of the Core Skylanders) and two SWAP Force characters: Blast-Zone and an exclusive color shift Washbuckler A collector poster, trading cards and sticker sheets A Nintendo Land game disc http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/10/nintendo_announces_skylanders_swap_force_wii_u_hardware_bundle If you break it down though, that's $100+ worth of software included. Pretty good deal if you're into Skylanders.
  3. I think I spent about 5 minutes with the original release so for all intents and purposes this is a new game to me. And it's awesome. The graphics, sound, and gameplay all combine to form one hell of a great game. This is hands down the most easy to get into Zelda game I've played since maybe the SNES.
  4. As someone who rejects the supernatural, I feel kinda left out of Halloween. Maybe instead of a haunted house or haunted hay ride I should start my own attractions i.e. a house where some interesting events occur and a scientifically explainable hay ride

What's worse is Christmas. At least you can have fun with Halloween.

As an atheist and skeptic, I'm not going to let the fact that they didn't eat turkey at the first thanksgiving stop me from enjoying the tradition. Same goes for halloween, christmas, or the 4th of july.

Supernatural? Science house? No, that's all wrong. It's all about dressing up in the 'sexy' version of just about any costume and prancing around for a few nights. What's not to like?

  5. It sucks personally because I was really looking forward to DK. However the 3D Mario World is looking pretty pants pissingly good so it should hopefully take away some of the sting.
  6. I got the last 3 in my local Target, the two plain Pac variations and the metal one. The cashier told me that a bunch of people have bought them. I can't wait to see the stacks of copies of the game that they get in now lol.
  7. We got no food, no jobs... our PETS' HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!

No, your pets will be fine. No food - you die - pet eats you. Pet is fine, see? ;)

  8. Nope, for better or worse I'm going Wii U only this coming generation.
  9. I never play online so I'll glady save the extra $10.
  10. Hell I'd just go pick up the figures for a buck a pop, it's not like Target takes down your information or anything.
  11. Breaking Bad ended the only way it could have. Bravo.

Why is it nowadays that shows that get a lot of media attention and hype last only 3 seasons or so?

It was awesome. Gratuitous. Violence. And brilliant.

Breaking Bad was 5 seasons and got to end things on their own terms. They weren't cancelled. They chose to end now. I highly respect that decision, rather than milking the show.

  12. I've been seeing posts on various sites that this bundle is already out in the wild at places like Walmart and Best Buy.
  13. I've only played it for a bit so far but the game is surprisingly challenging. My only real complaint so far is that the camera zooms out a bit too far sometimes which makes it difficult to avoid attacks. Other than that it looks great, runs great, and plays like a far more hectic Pikmin.
  14. Very cool article. As trite as it may be to say, Nintendo games just seem to have that little extra spark that no other developer has ever been able to match imo.
  15. James Pond kickstarter coming-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aV0nPC1va8&feature=player_embedded

  16. Well a price drop and finally releasing some games helps lol. I think the multitude of exclusives this fall, as well as a lower price is certainly going shift some units. Yes other new consoles are coming out but not only will they be relatively scarce through the holiday season, the barebones consoles start at $100+ more than the U. If I had a kid a $300 Wii U, which comes with a game, and 2 extra games for the price of a PS4 alone would be a deal that's pretty hard to pass up.
  17. Unfortunately there hasn't been any more news about it released as far as I know.
  18. It's not Pac Man VS but maybe this would be of interest- ''Pac Man Museum: The final title is Pac-Man Battle Royale, something that is much more noteworthy since it has never been available to the public outside of the arcades, despite being a much more recent title. At first glance, the game is nothing more than a multiplayer version of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, as it only puts up a string of dots at a time and puts up another string when either the current one gets finished or when fruit gets eaten. Eating a power pellet changes things, however, as you not only get to eat ghosts but also become a much larger version of yourself that eat the other players as well. The game only ends when all but one of the Pac-Men is eaten or defeated by ghosts, making the whole affair more competitive than before. It is a brilliant take on the formula and can easily become a local multiplayer favorite in the same vein as classics like Bomberman and Worms.'' http://worthplaying.com/event/E3_2013/PostE3_2013/89871/

I'm loaded with Japanese consoles so I'm pretty much done. I will be buying the Zelda HD remake for sure which could be my third game for the Wii U. I'm highly looking forward to an RPG on the Wii U and how the tablet can be featured. Unfortunately it's in Japanese but this video shows off some of the gamepad usage- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8_sEEmoBo8&feature=youtu.be

All my other consoles have taken a backseat to the wii U. I love this system as much as I loved the dreamcast when it was released. Monster hunter is getting the most playtime, but the new splinter cell is closing in. Ive seen alot of talk about nintendo land. I think as a multiplayer game it can be fun, but by yourself it has only a few standout games. The donkey kong level is pretty unique and I do play that one alot, but the Pikmin mini game could almost be a stand alone title. That is probably the best game on the disk. I've gotta say that I love this console as well and I haven't found consoles to be anything more than a means to an end since maybe the SNES or N64. There's just a charm to it that I can't put my finger on that makes it incredibly appealing.
