Yea RF2 like I said is one of my favorite games in years. It's kinda short, but that's about the only shortcoming. Once I started playing it, I couldn't put it down. But, wait until you have to pilot the sub - it is the suckiest part of the game by far. Actually, it's the only sucky part Now Robotech, I like it. I only paid $20 for it new so that may influence my decision. It's not perfect by any means but it is playable and enjoyable. I love cel shading. JGR and JSRF are 2 of my favorite all time games and the graphics are what I love the most in those 2. Well, ok, the music kicks ass too. I much prefer cartoony graphics then realistic ones that look like shit - as most games do anymore. Just my opinions.....

Don't worry about an argument, I don't do that. I'm just havin fun. And I would hate to break the tradition of any thread staying on topic The reason I got the PS2 is because I am a collector and player. Also, there are a few games that I had to have :DMC, Red Faction 1&2, Contra and soon DMC2. Really, those are the only reasons I still have it. I sold off a few other systems/games that I knew I wouldn't miss and I can truthfully say that I could not have a PS2 and not miss it at all. I don't have any friends to trade games with because everyone I know ditched the PS2 and got an XB or GC. It's not that bad of a system, but it doesn't do much for me. I got it a month after release and never found anything I liked for about 7 months after I had it. I can't think of the last PS2 game I bought (RF2 is borrowed and that dude sold his PS2). I always poke fun at the PS/PS2 and Sony because it's just easy to do but I can still make fun of the others too and enjoy it just as much. I'm not impressed with GC games either. Just can't find anything that I really want to get for it. I'm not a picky gamer at all, but I like stuff that's different (JSRF, HALO,Steel Battalion, RF2, DMC....). I like XB Live. It's 100% the best of the 3 and the games that are online for it are hands down, better then what the others offer. Sony won the sales war no doubt, but I am happy that there are 2 more alternatives. I don't care how well the XB/GC sell - I have them and can play them and that's about all I care about.

PLEASE DO NOT READ SERIOUSLY (well some of it is....) Xbox will kick ass - Still won't outsell PS2. Live will still kick ass, until Halo 2, when all of the biggest aholes talk smack online, claiming they are the best, blah, blah, blah....I will be playing Steel Battalions online. Still be hearing from PS2 fanboys that XB doesn't have GTA:VC and I still won't care.......The "Dirty Disc Error" may stop coming up.....MS will stop advertising and devote all $$ to stop mod chips. And how can I forget, a Limited Edition XB that features Bill Gates in the jewel insert on the controller which is a bigger version controller then the biggest version currently available. Sony will be on the 10th revision for the PS2 and it still won't get better. There will be 873 shitty games out for it. But the number of good games will increase to 20. Load times will continue to get longer and games will just be sequels, prequels, or rehashes....again. The controller will still suck and Sony will develop 20 more accessories that you NEED to buy just to play some games. And as usual, there will be a "shortage" of said accessories. Specs for the PS3 will be announced and once again they will be unbelievable...and not to be believed. Fanboys will still claim XB games suck but still say how amazing PS2 games are......Online gaming will still be free because not everyone has been able to locate a Network Adapter yet. SOCOM will still be the only decent online game Nintendo still won't give a rats ass about online gaming - even if their customers do. We will see 25 more "party" games, and of course, anything that we all wait for will be "Postponed Indefinetely". Nintendo will have an in house dev company that will create more "adult" games - Mario and Luigi, and maybe Yoshii if we're lucky, will be the main characters. We will see at least 20 Limited Edition consoles, that will sit beside the Star Wars Episode 1 LE 64's at Toys R Us for the next 5 years. We will finally get an updated version of Super Dodgeball.....Nintendo will still have the coolest commercials. The GBA will be backlit and a limited edition. They will still have the theory that looks for the system and accessories are more important than function Infogrames will claim they have always been Atari

I have a few jamma games and I never got around to getting rotary controllers. anyone have some sitting around they would part with? I'm kinda leaning towards the old school Ikari Warrior type ones.

Sorry about that. I remember standing in TRU and watching the video on the TG 16 and just being amazed. Then they showed the CD Add On......I was 18 I think and I asked my mom and dad to get me a TG for Christmas and they did. I went and bought the CD after it dropped from $400 to $350. I kinda got obsessed with it and bought every single game that was made for it. I also remember that the Sega CD came out a little while after that and the AD Wars that followed. Sega claimed they had the 1st on the market and NEC always had little Bonk cartoons slamming Sega. Hmmmmmm, not much has changed with new systems I guess.......sorry for the off topic post.

Buy Rite sucks. Trust me, whatever they "have", they don't and even if they - by some slim chance - do have it, it will be way too expensive. No matter how bad you need a game, you will never need it bad enough to get it from them

Well, it's a little too unrealistic. I mean, it could be done, but would anyone want it? Sony has a history of making what they want and hope someone buys it (mini disc anyone?). Instead, maybe they should concentrate on what could be better with the next system, find out what gamers want, and do the best to do it - not say they did it and never did. The big deal about the emotion engine has really been a big joke, it was supposed to be groundbreaking, unbelievable, breathtaking.......Ummm, my PS2 isn't any of those things. I did buy it believing that though. I guess I have hard feelings about the PS2 because it never has delivered what it was supposed to, but yet the XB and GC have already surpassed anything I expected. I would like to see Sony get off the shitter already and make a kick ass system - not count how many units are sold. Oh and it would be nice for Sony to finally stop the "shortage" bullshit to boost sales.
